Preschool education is the second major in Jiangxi Normal University.

Jiangxi Normal University is a "Basic Capacity Building Project" and "Excellent Teacher Training Plan" jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. The school integrates ten disciplines, including literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, science, engineering, teaching and art, and has been identified as a provincial key (normal) university by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.

The school is located in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province. As of June 20 1 13, it has three campuses, namely Yaohu, Qingshan Lake and Gongqingcheng, covering an area of more than 4,500 mu, with a building area of 1 0.4 million square meters, with a collection of more than 3.04 million paper documents and more than 10,000 electronic books/kloc-0. Yaohu Campus is surrounded by a 7-kilometer-long Heyao River, with no fence and outstanding ecological and cultural characteristics. The school originated from Lushan Bailudong Academy and was founded by National Chung Cheng University on 1940. 1949 was renamed National Nanchang University, 1953 was renamed Jiangxi Normal University, and 1983 was renamed Jiangxi Normal University. The school is a doctoral degree awarding unit and the first batch of bachelor's and master's degree awarding units in China.
