In order to broaden students' knowledge, guide students' research study and cultivate students' innovative consciousness, Shexian No.2 Middle School has set up a number of elective courses and various knowledge lectures, strengthened the guidance of students' research study and various interest group activities, established the reporter station of No.2 Middle School of Provincial Middle School Students News Agency, established Xinzhou Literature Society and published the periodical Xinzhou. Xinzhou won the second prize in the evaluation of Anhui school newspaper in 2003, which is the only prize won by our city. Shexian No.2 Middle School pays attention to the implementation of physical education and aesthetic education for students, and the school sports team has won team awards and champions in provincial and municipal sports meetings for many times. Shexian No.2 Middle School successfully holds the Winter Sports Meeting and the Red May Art Show every year.
