What is an open university?
Open University is the general name of a kind of institutions of higher learning. At present, it mainly refers to the National Open University. Of course, there are five local open universities, namely Beijing Open University (Beikai University), Shanghai Open University (Shangkai University), Jiangsu Open University (Jiang Kai University), Guangdong Open University (Guangkai University) and Yunnan Open University (Yunkai University).
Open University mainly carries out adult academic education and vocational skills training, and academic education is mainly aimed at on-the-job personnel and other social personnel. After work, you can study through the online teaching platform, which does not delay your work and is easy to get a certificate.
Although the Open University does not recruit full-time students, it is also an institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education and supervised by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. The academic qualifications awarded after graduation are recognized by the state, which can be found on Xue Xin. com。
Compared with broadcast education, university is a closed form of education. Its basic characteristics are: taking students and learning as the center, canceling and breaking through the restrictions and obstacles to learners.
For example, open education does not impose too many restrictions on students' age, occupation, region and academic qualifications. Aspiring learners with a certain cultural foundation can apply for admission without taking the entrance examination.
Students have certain autonomy in choosing courses and using media, and can also be rooted in learning methods, learning progress, time and place as needed, and adopt various media teaching materials and modern information technology means in teaching.
