Education equity is first of all the fairness of opportunity, and its core is to let every child enjoy a fair and quality education. Sichuan has successively implemented the action plan of education revitalization, the "9+3" free education plan in ethnic minority areas and the 15 free education plan, effectively improving the balance between education and compulsory education in ethnic minority areas. At the same time, the report also puts forward a higher goal, "improve the student financial aid system, so that the vast majority of urban and rural new laborers can receive high school education and more higher education."
Only by striving to optimize the allocation of educational resources within cities, between urban and rural areas and between rural areas can we better promote people's fair education and ensure the quality of education on the basis of fair education.
Ways to improve education equity in China;
1. Adjust and optimize the education development policy to realize the balanced development of regional education.
According to the principle of educational equity, we should evaluate and analyze the current educational development policies, cancel or adjust some obviously unfair educational policies in time, and ensure the balanced development of education in different regions from the system.
2. Equitable allocation of public education resources to promote the balanced development of urban and rural education.
Establish the concept of fair allocation of urban and rural educational resources, and promote the rationalization and balance of urban and rural educational resources allocation.
3. Adhere to the principle of equal opportunities in education, and guarantee the right to education for vulnerable groups.
On the basis of sorting out the existing systems and policies, we will further adjust and optimize the institutional guarantee of the children of floating population's right to education, and provide them with fair educational opportunities. It is necessary to increase capital investment, effectively protect the rights of children of disadvantaged groups to receive education, and prevent a student from dropping out of school because of family poverty.
