In the autumn of 209 BC (the first year), the Qin court recruited Zuopin to defend Yuyang, and recruited more than 900 people including Chen Sheng to defend Yuyang. On the way, I was blocked by heavy rain in osawa Township, Qixian County, and I couldn't reach my destination as scheduled. According to the law of the Qin dynasty, if it expires, it will be beheaded. In desperation, Chen Guang led the garrison, killed the commander who escorted the garrison, and launched a mutiny with the slogan "Great Chu Xing, Chen". The insurgents elected Chen Sheng as a general and a captain, and even established the Zhang Chu regime in Chen County in Ozawa Township and Qixian County, and all localities responded in succession. At the same time, Liu Bang and Xiang Yu revolted in Peixian and Wuzhong respectively. In 208 BC (the second year of Qin Ershi), the Daze Township Uprising failed because of Chen Sheng's pride after seizing power and the suppression of Qin Jun by Qin General Zhang Han. After Chen Sheng's death, Xiang Liang adopted Fan Zengzhi's plan and established the heart of Chu Huaiwang, which is now Chu Huaiwang. Xiang Liang's name is Wu Xinjun. Xiang Liang once led an army to defeat Zhang Han, a Qin general, and Li You, a Qin general, was beheaded by Xiang Yu in Qiu Yong. After that, Xiang Liang was defeated by Zhang Han in Dingtao and died.
After the death of Xiang Liang in 207 BC (the third year of Qin Ershi), Zhang Han thought that the main force of the Chu army had been destroyed, so he crossed the river to the north and moved troops to Handan to attack the Hebei uprising army with Zhao Xie as the king. Zhao Xie retreated to Julu, and Qin sent Wang Li to lead hundreds of thousands of border guards to surround Julu. Zhang Han built a tunnel south of Julu to transport food for Wang Li's army. Zhao was in danger because he was short of food and soldiers, so he sent a special envoy to Chu Huaiwang for help. Chu Huaiwang and the rebel leaders held an emergency military meeting in Pengcheng (now Xuzhou, Jiangsu), and decided to divide the troops into two ways: one was to enter the customs from south to west led by Liu Bang, and the other was to take Yi Song as the upper general, Xiang Yu as the lower general and Fan Zeng as the upper general. Lead the main force of Chu army to the north to save Zhao, then enter the customs, and make an appointment with the generals: "The first one to enter the customs." At the same time, Zhao Gao killed Qin Ershi, made Zi Ying emperor, and Zi Ying killed Zhao Gao. In May of 205 BC (the second year of Hanwang), Liu Bang arrived in Xingyang, defeated the pursuers of Chu, stopped breathing, stabilized his position, reorganized the army, and relied on the Guanzhong base and favorable terrain to fight against Xiang Yu for a long time. In the winter of 204 BC (the third year of Hanwang), Xiang Yu launched a counterattack and besieged Xingyang. The situation is very critical. Liu Bang used Chen Ping's double spy to make Xiang Yu doubt Fan Zeng, and forced Fan Zeng to return home in a rage. Liu Bangpa Ji Xin pretended to go to Chu Jun, surrendered, and fled Xingyang. Xiang Yu stepped up the siege of Xingyang and occupied the elevation. In order to relieve the pressure of Chu army, Liu Bang led the army to lure Xiang Yu south through Wuguan, Wan (now Nanyang, Henan Province) and Ye (now south of Yexian County). In order to cooperate with the Han army, Han Xin also led an army to the north bank of the Yellow River to support Xingyang. Peng Yue attacked Xiapi (now south of Pixian County, Jiangsu Province). Xiang Yu was forced to lead the army to rescue, and Liu Bang took the opportunity to recover the elevation. In June, Xiang Yu launched a fierce offensive, withdrew from Xingyang, and then captured the elevation. Liu bang ordered the Han army to stick to it in Gongxian county and stop the Chu army from advancing. At the same time, he ordered Han Xin to form a new army to attack Qi, and sent people to the hinterland of Chu to help Peng Yue attack Luoyang (now south of Shangqiu, Henan) and Waihuang, forcing Xiang Yu to rescue again.
