1in April, 936, Li Shizhen, who was born in Huangpu Military Academy, took over as the president of the police academy. As early as 1932, Li Shizhen suggested that the police academy be renamed as "Central Police Academy" and moved to Hangzhou. After taking over as the principal, he once again made a written proposal to Chiang Kai-shek, demanding that the name of the school be changed, and Chiang Kai-shek should also serve as the principal, so as to lead the national police education in a unified way. Students at school also put forward some suggestions to support the school reform, such as "improving the status of the school" and "unified leadership of the national police education by the alma mater". 1On June 3, 936, the 265th meeting of the Executive Yuan adopted the Principles of Rectifying Police Administration, in which Article 7 stipulated that police education should be unified with the central police academy, and a few police academies established in various provinces should be closed. On August 4, the same year, the 272nd meeting of the Executive Yuan revised and passed the relevant bill, agreeing to merge the police academy with the Zhejiang Police Academy, which has successfully run a school, and set up the Central Police Academy, with Chiang Kai-shek as the principal and Li Shizhen, the former principal of the police academy, as the director of education.
