When was the compulsory education law in People's Republic of China (PRC) promulgated?
1986 April 12. The Compulsory Education Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) was adopted by the Fourth Session of the Sixth National People's Congress on April 1986 1986 and came into force on July 1 day of the same year. This law is the first time that China has fixed free compulsory education in the form of law.
