Dangshan County, a county under the jurisdiction of Suzhou City, Anhui Province, is located in the northernmost part of Anhui Province, at the junction of seven counties (cities) in Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong and Henan provinces, and is known as "the pear capital of the world" and "the hometown of fruits". The county governs 13 towns and 3 parks with an area of 1 193 square kilometers. It is an advanced county in basic education, an advanced county in scientific and technological progress, and a model collective of national unity and progress.

Dangshan history

Dangshan has a long history. There were thirty-six counties in the Qin Dynasty, and Dang County was one of them. This is the hometown of Zhu Wen, King of the Five Dynasties Liang Dynasty, and the ancestral home of Qi Baishi, a master of modern painting. There is the tomb of Xue Xian, a general of Ming Dynasty, a banquet table that left the footprints of Li Bai, a poet of Tang Dynasty, and a well-known mosque.

Dangshan has a superior geographical position. Xuzhou, a famous historical city in the East, is connected with Shangqiu, the ancient capital of China in the West. Longhai Railway and National Highway 3 10 run through the whole territory. Dajingjiu, beijing-shanghai railway and Lianhuo Expressway pass by. Dangshan section of Zhengzhou-Xuzhou high-speed railway and Suntech Expressway were completed and opened to traffic, which is 2 hours' drive from Xuzhou Guanyin Airport/KLOC-0 and Lianyungang, the nearest seaport.
