The National Education Steering Group will establish a supervision and evaluation system for the balanced development of compulsory education, study and formulate a supervision and evaluation index system, evaluate the balanced development of compulsory education in various places, supervise and inspect the work of local people's governments at all levels to promote the balanced development of compulsory education, and take the evaluation and inspection results as an important indicator for evaluating local education. The supervision departments of the people's governments of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government should regard the balanced development of compulsory education as an important part of the supervision and evaluation of the education work of the people's governments at the county level, and the results of the supervision and evaluation should be regarded as an important part of the performance evaluation of leading cadres and the basis for commendation and awards.
