Curriculum and teaching theory is one of the dominant disciplines of pedagogy in Shandong Normal University. At present, there are 3 professors and 5 associate professors in this discipline, 4 of whom have doctoral degrees and 5 are under 40 years old. 1997 has published more than 90 academic papers and 5 monographs, edited teaching theory research series and senior high school curriculum reform research series, presided over or participated in 7 national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, and won more than 10 scientific research and teaching awards. The courses offered in this major mainly include: teaching theory, curriculum theory, comparative teaching theory, teaching sociology, teaching research methodology, introduction to teacher education, subject curriculum and teaching theory, basic education and teaching reform topics, western curriculum theory schools, teaching theory topics and so on. In 2002, the major of educational economics and management was awarded the right to master's degree, and in 2003, it began to recruit graduate students. The main task of this major is to study the basic theoretical and practical problems in the field of educational economy and management, and to explore and reveal the special laws in the field of educational economy and management. It mainly trains talents who are engaged in the management of teaching, scientific research and education administrative departments in colleges and universities or scientific research institutions.

This major now has two research directions: 1. Educational management mainly studies the concept, basic laws, basic contents and practice of educational management. 2. Educational economics, which mainly studies the basic theories, contents, laws and practical problems of educational economic management.

The postgraduate courses offered in this major mainly include: basic theoretical research on educational management, basic theoretical research on educational economics, special research on the reform and development of contemporary educational management, special research on schools of western educational economics, special research on educational management techniques and methods, special research on educational prediction and planning, and special research on educational finance. The master's degree in comparative education in the School of Education of Shandong Normal University will be enrolled in 2007. At present, there are 3 tutors in this master's program, including 1 professor and 2 associate professors. All three of them got their doctorates. This master's degree mainly has three research directions: comparative study of educational theory, national education research and curriculum comparative study. These three directions are comprehensive studies of foreign educational theory and practice from a macro and micro cultural perspective. The basic idea of this research perspective is to systematically compare the relationship between culture and education in western and East Asian countries, sort out some unique laws and characteristics from different cultures and education, and cultivate students' basic literacy and ability in international exchanges and research.

Since it was founded in 1980s, comparative pedagogy has gone through several different stages, such as introducing foreign educational system, comparing foreign educational theories, and comparing the experience and lessons of foreign educational reform in view of the problems existing in China's education. However, this simple introduction and simple study of takenism are not enough to grasp the true meaning and essence of foreign education. Only by expanding the vision of education in other countries in the world from the cultural perspective of combining macro and micro can we grasp it from a strategic height. In 2003, the pre-school education major obtained the master's degree approved by the State Council. Since 2004, it has recruited and trained master students, and has three research directions: psychological development and education of preschool children, preschool children's courses and games, and preschool children's art education. There are two professors and three associate professors as tutors for master students, two of whom have doctoral degrees, and 1 is a doctoral student. At present, there are 13 graduate students majoring in preschool education.

The master's degree in preschool education mainly trains senior professionals with master's degrees who are suitable for preschool education, teaching, scientific research, children's development and education management. Provide professional teachers, researchers and managers for teachers' colleges, other institutions of higher learning, higher vocational and technical colleges, even secondary normal schools and other secondary specialized schools, as well as educational research and consulting institutions, educational administrative departments and kindergartens.

This master's degree program accepts previous college graduates with pre-school education and related pedagogy and psychology majors inside and outside the province, as well as candidates with the same academic level and cross-majors. In order to improve the quality of students and avoid cultivating "close relatives", candidates outside the school are welcome and encouraged.

At present, it is decided to temporarily adjust the research direction of pre-school education master's degree from 2007, and plans to recruit students and cultivate them mainly in the following two research directions:

1 preschool children's curriculum and games: pay attention to preschool education curriculum theory and practice, children's curriculum teaching in various fields, children's game theory and guidance, organization and implementation of kindergarten activities, involving the basic theory of preschool education, children's psychological development and education, foreign early education projects, kindergarten management and education evaluation, children's family education and moral education. Pre-school children's art education: mainly devoted to children's aesthetic psychology and art education, pre-school children's art education and teaching, kindergarten environment construction and layout, especially the theoretical and practical research in children's art and handicraft teaching, children's music education and teaching, and also dabbled in children's literature theory, fairy tale education and teaching, national traditional culture education and other fields. Postgraduate tutors mainly include Professor Bing Wang and Associate Professor Yin Xiaoqing.

The professional learning courses offered by the master of preschool education mainly include: basic theory of preschool education, children's social development and education, preschool education curriculum theory, preschool education game theory, preschool children's art education, foreign children's education schools, preschool education evaluation, children's psychological development and evaluation, etc.

Since 1980s, Shanshi has been the affiliated unit and chairman unit of the National Professional Committee of Educational Philosophy, and its academic status has been generally recognized in China. In recent years, the introduction and training of a group of young scholars with good development potential have injected new vitality into the development of this discipline. At present, this direction is mainly devoted to the research of China's traditional educational philosophy, modern western educational philosophy and China's current educational basic theory and practice. Its representative achievement is to put forward some influential educational philosophies in China, such as existentialism, dialogue and symbiosis.

Basic education reform and experiment

This direction has been involved in the research of educational experiments since the early 1980s, and its achievements in the field of basic education experiments have attracted the attention of domestic counterparts. The characteristics of this direction are as follows: first, closely contact the reality of primary and secondary education, and conduct experiments and research on practical problems in education and teaching; Second, attach importance to the theoretical construction of primary and secondary education reform and experiment, and build a "two-sequence combined curriculum construction model" and a "one body and two wings" creative education model; Third, pay attention to the reform of basic education and the construction of experimental bases. More than 20,000 primary and secondary school teachers have been trained, 42 training courses for grassroots education cadres have been held, and more than 400 experimental schools have been established. Our country started to set up the professional degree of master of education on 1997, and Shandong Normal University was the first enrollment unit. Master of Education in Education Management is the first enrollment major. At present, our college has enrolled nearly 1,000 students for the 10th Master of Education, and has sent a group of educational administrative cadres, principals of primary and secondary schools and outstanding teachers with high educational theory literacy and educational research ability for basic education in Shandong Province. Moreover, this major has also formed a unique training mode different from academic masters, that is, case teaching, which aims to form the reflective and critical ability of education master students, integrate theory with practice, and improve educational practice independently and consciously. In order to meet the needs of basic education reform, our college added a master's degree in primary education pedagogy in 2005, and enrolled students that year. These two majors plan to recruit 40 students every year, and 40 tutors (10) will take charge of the guidance of master's thesis in education.

In April, 2007, the State Council Academic Degree Office will evaluate our master's degree program. Our school undertakes the teaching of three public subjects in the master's degree program of the whole school, and has cooperation and contact with various professional degree programs in the training and defense of master's degree programs. Our school will go all out to do a good job in evaluation, and strive to provide intellectual support and teacher protection for the connotative development of basic education reform in Shandong Province. In 2006, the higher education major was awarded the right to master's degree, and in 2007, it began to recruit master's students. The main task of this major is to study the theoretical and practical problems in the field of higher education and explore and reveal the special laws in this field. It mainly trains qualified personnel engaged in research, teaching and management of higher education.

This major now has two research directions: higher education principles and higher education management. 1. Principles of higher education. The research direction mainly includes the concept, attributes, basic laws, basic contents, development process and characteristics of higher education, and hot issues of higher education. 2. Higher education management. The main research contents of this research direction include the modernization and internationalization of higher education management, the reform of higher normal education, and the concept of scholarship. There are 3 tutors in this major: Professor Qi, Associate Professor and Professor Han Yanming (Linyi Normal University), all of whom have doctoral degrees.

The postgraduate courses offered by this major mainly include: basic theory of higher education, philosophy of higher education, comparative higher education, management of higher education, and development history of higher education at home and abroad. 65438-0985 Professor Zhao Yimin, a teacher of the older generation in our school, enrolled graduate students in the name of educational history. Professors Li, Wang, Yu Shusheng and others have made important contributions to the development of the history of education in our school. This major has two research directions: the history of education in China and the history of foreign education. The history of education in China includes Professor Zhang Shufeng, Associate Professor Jong Li and Professor Li Jianping (part-time). The main research fields are China's traditional educational thought, China's traditional educational philosophy, China's educational modernization and Shandong's educational development history. In the research of the history of Shandong education development, the General History of Shandong Education was published, and articles such as Ninety Years' Retrospection and Reflection of Shandong Missionary School Education and Hundred Years' Normal Education in Shandong were published. It laid a solid foundation for in-depth study of the history of Shandong education development; The history of foreign education includes Professor Yu Hongbo and Associate Professor Jin Chuanbao. The main research fields are the comparison of Chinese and foreign educational development history, Japanese educational history, American educational history and German educational history. In the research of Japanese education history, the Cultural Perspective of Japanese Education and the Comparative Study of Japanese Home Economics Education were published. In the history of German education, a comparative study of German education has been published.
