Two. Brief introduction of Fujian Institute of Education
Fujian Institute of Education is located on the bank of Fuzhou West Lake and at the foot of Mengshan Mountain. The new campus is located in the shared area of Fuzhou University Town (currently under preparation). Founded in 1956, the college is one of the earliest eight undergraduate colleges in our province. Since its establishment more than 60 years ago, it has always adhered to the direction of serving the reform and development of basic education. Mainly through three stages of development: (1) basic stage. It is mainly responsible for on-the-job training of teachers and teaching and research tasks in middle schools, and has made great contributions to winning the national "red flag of college entrance examination" for three consecutive years in our province. (2) resume the development stage. 1977 college resumed classes. Later, in view of the rapid enrollment expansion of primary and secondary schools in the province at that time, teachers' academic qualifications were not up to standard in a large area, and compensatory education for primary and secondary school teachers' academic qualifications was vigorously carried out, which made outstanding contributions to the acquisition of primary and secondary school teachers' academic qualifications in our province. 1992 The former State Education Commission awarded the College the honor of "National Advanced School of Adult Higher Education". In the new century, the college has participated in general higher vocational education and trained tens of thousands of graduates. (3) Leaping stage of transformation. In 2008, from the perspective of strengthening the construction of primary and secondary school teachers in our province and combining the characteristics of the division of work in colleges and universities, the provincial party Committee and the provincial government decided that Fujian Institute of Education should specialize in the training of primary and secondary school principals and teachers. The Opinions of Fujian Provincial People's Government on Further Strengthening the Construction of Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools (No.344 [2008]) issued in June 5438+February 2008 clearly stated: "Vigorously strengthen the construction of Fujian Institute of Education, strengthen its training, teaching and scientific research functions, play a leading role in the continuing education of primary and secondary school teachers in the province, and build Fujian Institute of Education into an important base for provincial-level primary and secondary school teachers' training and continuing education policy research and business guidance. According to the decision-making arrangements of the provincial party Committee and the provincial government, the college has shifted its focus to the main business of training principals and teachers in primary and secondary schools. After ten years of unremitting efforts, the characteristics of schools serving basic education have become increasingly prominent, giving full play to the five functions of primary and secondary school teachers' provincial training base, basic education research position, basic education resources main channel, basic education service main force and teachers' continuing education consultation and guidance main function.
There are 20 departments in the college, including 9 party and government administrative departments, 7 teaching departments, 4 teaching auxiliary departments and 1 wholly-owned economic entities. There are 230 faculty members, including full-time teachers 160. Among the full-time teachers, there are primary and secondary school professors 18, deputy senior teachers 78 and special-grade teachers 8 (including primary school 1 person). There are 25 doctoral students (including 7 studying) and 7 master students11. National training experts 10, 20 provincial training experts and 6 provincial teaching masters. National inspector 1 person, expert enjoying special government allowance of the State Council 1 person, provincial government invited inspector 1 person, 2 leading talents in philosophy and social sciences of "Hundred Flowers Plan", 4 winners of "New Century Excellent Talents Support Plan of provincial universities", 4 winners of "Training Plan for Excellent Young Scientific Research Talents of provincial universities" and 7 key teachers of provincial primary and secondary schools workshops.
The training of principals and teachers in primary and secondary schools is the main business of Fujian Institute of Education. The college has carried out the training quality construction project in depth, and formed a training project system with national training projects as the guide, provincial training projects as the support, and entrusted training projects as the mission of radiation and assistance training. Every year, 20,000 principals and teachers of primary and secondary schools are trained in a centralized way, and hundreds of thousands of people are trained by network distance. Since 20 12, we have undertaken 155 "National Training Plan" projects by bidding, and the project performance evaluation results rank among the top universities (institutions) in China. April 20 18 was identified as one of the training bases for primary and secondary school teachers in the first phase of the National Training Plan 14. In the past two years, the teaching reform projects hosted or participated by teachers in our college have won 2 provincial teaching achievement awards, 1 ST prize 1 item and 4 second prizes.
Correspondence self-study education is a traditional education project of the college. There are 27 correspondence majors and 3 self-taught majors, with 29,000 students (including correspondence 1.3 million and self-taught 1.6 million). The college has set up 18 qualified teaching points in the whole province, which have passed the evaluation of the provincial education department. Attach importance to strengthening the standardized management of correspondence self-study examination and continuously improve the teaching quality.
