Establish a tourism satellite account
In May of 20001,the international conference "Tourism Satellite Account (TSA)- Providing Reliable Data for Good Decision-making" was held in Vancouver, co-sponsored by Tourism Canada, World Tourism Organization (WTO), World Tourism Council (WTTC) and World Economic Cooperation Organization (OECD). Vancouver Conference confirmed that TSA is an international standard to measure the direct economic impact of tourism in an economic system on other industries and other economic systems, and acknowledged that previous efforts to formulate and implement TSA followed diversified methods. It is recognized that countries can adjust the classification within the TSA standard according to their own conditions. At present, Canada, Australia, Spain, France, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United States and other countries have successively carried out the practice of compiling tourism satellite accounts. On the basis of the Framework, they made corresponding adjustments and supplements according to the actual situation in their own countries. Many developed countries have successfully compiled tourism satellite accounts, which provide decision-making basis for formulating tourism development policies and plans. Many countries benefit from the definition and analysis of tourism satellite accounts.
