Fuzhou polytechnic is a full-time ordinary higher vocational school approved by Fujian Provincial People's Government, founded by Fuzhou Municipal People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. The school consists of Fuzhou Amateur University, Fuzhou Staff Amateur University and Fuzhou Radio and TV University, which were established in 1958 and 1979 respectively. In June 2004, Fuzhou Commercial School was formally merged into the school. The school is located in Fuzhou University Town, with a campus area of 1 122.08 mu (400 mu of which is being relocated) and a total construction area of about 250,000 square meters.
