The school started at the Red Mansion in Beijing Beach and moved to Xueyuan Road on 1954. 1985, the school opened Changping Campus. After entering the graduate school, it was renamed the Central School of Political Science and Law Management as a separate school. In 2000, it was merged into China University of Political Science and Law.

1. The school has 24 undergraduate majors, including law, investigation, political science and administration, administration, international politics, public utilities management, business administration, economics, international business, financial engineering, English, German, translation, journalism, network and new media, mathematics and applied mathematics, and information management and information system (rule of law information management).

The school has established cooperation and exchange relations with 258 well-known universities, scientific research institutions and international organizations in 53 countries and regions, among which 60% of the world's top 500 universities have substantial cooperation.
