What does exam-oriented education mean?
Examination-oriented education refers to the educational ideas and teaching methods formed around the entrance examination scores.

Examination-oriented education evaluates the quality of school education, teachers' work performance and students' academic level by the enrollment rate. Schools, society and parents adopt a single evaluation method for students, with the only requirement of "getting scores up", and measure students' level by scores through exams. Fundamentally deviate from quality education and adopt mechanized education to train students. Its educational model and examination methods limit the students' ability to play, and it is difficult for students to adapt to the work requirements and social development.

Exam-oriented education has had a great impact on students, teachers, schools and even the whole China society (both positive and negative). Although the disadvantages of exam-oriented education have been recognized by more and more people, many people think that examination is a principle of fair competition and there is no more suitable method to replace it.
