In 2006, Crisis Management-Challenges Faced by China in the Transition Period (the second author) won the second prize of the fourth China University Humanities and Social Sciences Research Excellence Award of the Ministry of Education. In 2005, the research project "SARS incident and the construction of Beijing public crisis management system" won the "Outstanding Achievement Award of Beijing Tenth Five-Year Plan of Philosophy and Social Sciences" issued by Beijing Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
