Introduction of Ye Dekui
( 1934 - 2005)
Ye Dekui, whose real name is Yansha, was born in Yunhe, Zhejiang. In 1960s, I studied in Longquan Shanggai Porcelain Factory with Xu Chaoxing and others. Because he was studious and modest, he was handed down by many old artists at that time.
Later, with extraordinary perseverance, the whole process of celadon was integrated.
Dozens of processes, from kiln production to mountain selection, to raw material preparation, modeling and firing, are all hands-on.
In the 1990s, a large number of contemporary Geyao works won the charm of Song Geyao, which is the first person to deeply study the traditional porcelain-making skills of Geyao since the founding of New China.
Through a large number of firing experiments for decades, it is found that the characteristics of some raw materials in the ancient Longquan kiln area are very similar to those in the "Ge kiln" of the Forbidden City.
Through the exchange of information with experts in Beijing, this paper comprehensively analyzes the technological essence of Geyao, makes a lot of basic work on the traditional porcelain-making technology of Geyao, and makes a detailed summary and record of it, forming a "Yege Kiln Porcelain-making System" with far-reaching research value, which provides a brand-new way for studying the history and technology of Geyao.
He died of a heart attack in 2005. He devoted his life to the study of traditional porcelain-making technology until the last day of his life. ...
Brief introduction of ge Yao
Ge kiln is a famous porcelain product valued by connoisseurs in past dynasties, but it is deeply puzzled.
Ge Kiln is one of the five famous kilns in Song Dynasty (Ru Kiln, Official Kiln, Ge Kiln, Ding Kiln and Jun Kiln).
Its simple and elegant shape, bright glaze color, clean connotation, profound implication, criss-crossing patterns, and myriad changes have played a decisive role in the history of China ceramics.
But where is the location of Ge Kiln? What is the essence? In the study of ceramic history, it has always been a controversial and unresolved issue.
Emperor Gaozong Qianlong of Qing Dynasty loved Geyao. Ceng Yong wrote many poems praising Geyao and ordered craftsmen to carve it at the bottom.
One of the classic poems praising Ge Yao's bravery bottle: "Zhi gorgeous jade is muscle, but there is no archaism in the fire. It's just a sketch by Wu Daozi, and Guanyin is wonderful. "
Ge kiln is highly respected by the world for its elegant style and rare existence. Geyao is mostly hidden in major museums around the world, among which the Palace Museum in Beijing and the Palace Museum in Taipei have the largest collections.
As for the definition of Ge Kiln, the Shanghai Museum describes it this way: "Ge Kiln tires are mostly purple-black, iron-black, and tan. The glaze is opaque and has a crisp light. The glaze color is mostly fried rice yellow, gray and blue, and the glaze color is combined with stripes. After dyeing, the big stripes are dark brown and the small stripes are yellowish brown, which is also called gold wire or Wu Wen film.
..... See antique modelling, feet * * * is very untidy, ordinary glaze shrinkage glaze and brown eyes. This "History of Chinese Ceramics" describes: "There are all kinds of bottles, stoves, washing machines, plates, cans and so on. And the tires are divided into thickness. There are porcelain tires and sand tires. Tire colors are black gray, dark gray, light gray and khaki, and glaze colors are pink blue, moonlight, putty and cyan.
In terms of time, there should be a difference between morning and evening. From the origin, it may not be a porcelain kiln, and the situation is more complicated. "
It can be said that the eternal mystery of Geyao really stumped generations of porcelain connoisseurs.
There are four ways to reveal the secret of Ge Kiln: studying ancient documents, studying ancient Ge Kiln, the archaeology of kiln site, and studying the traditional porcelain-making technology of Ge Kiln.
Among them, "studying the traditional porcelain-making technology of Ge kiln" is the most in-depth, comprehensive and valuable way.
Mr. Ye Dekui, a traditional celadon artist, and his inheritor Ye Kewei (Gu 'er) have long been committed to analyzing Ge Kiln from the perspective of traditional porcelain-making technology, and combined with archaeological materials, ancient documents and collected information of Ge Kiln, they have conducted in-depth research on the physical and chemical characteristics, porcelain-making skills and artistic expression forms of Ge Kiln, and achieved a lot of research results. In order to solve such problems as "What is the attribute of Ge Kiln?" "Is the Ge Kiln fired in Longquan area?" Such questions provide valuable academic basis.
