Has the first public welfare forum for caring for autistic children been held in Beijing?
Recently, the first domestic public welfare forum on caring for autistic children with the theme of "caring for children with stars, don't let them fall" opened in Beijing. This forum brought together many professors and scholars in the field of education, analyzed and discussed new ideas of autism rehabilitation education from the perspective of psychology and pedagogy, explored correct and effective treatment and rehabilitation programs for autistic children, put forward new directions for rehabilitation education of autistic children, and strived to open a new chapter in autism education in China and push autism education in the world to a new course.

"According to the Report on the Development of Autism Education and Rehabilitation Industry in China, there are currently about 2 million autistic children in China, with an annual growth rate of 10% to 17%, but 98.7% of the population cannot get effective rehabilitation training." Professor Xu Yun, director of the Research Center for Social Harmony and Mental Health Promotion of Zhejiang University of Technology and the chief expert of the National Social Science Autism Major Bidding Project, pointed out that the explosive growth of autism has become a major social issue, people's livelihood issue and scientific issue.

Distinguished professor, a "Pearl River Scholar" in Guangdong Province, and Professor Wang Suiping, a doctoral supervisor and the School of Psychology of South China Normal University, put forward "strengthening the basic research of psychology and deeply understanding the cognitive mechanism of autism". Based on the cross-thinking of psychology, cognitive neuroscience, linguistics and other disciplines, this paper puts forward the theory of reorganization obstacle of speech perception of autistic children, and holds that the phenomenon of tone perception advantage commonly found in the west is not necessarily a special talent of autistic children, and its root lies in the reorganization obstacle of perceptual representation caused by social defects of autistic children, which makes them less sensitive to oral tones than normal local children in China.

Professor Liu Yanyun of Pingxiang University put forward a new concept of "core rehabilitation", pointing out that autistic children should first "construct education through interpersonal motivation, so that children have a strong sense of reality and consciousness pointing to people", that is, "core rehabilitation", and then carry out integrated education, so that autistic children can achieve sustainable development and finally fully integrate into normal society. At the meeting, she showed their research and practical achievements in the past ten years, which became a highlight of this forum.
