How to cultivate high school students' good homework habits
First, the basic requirements of good work habits

Educator Ye Shengtao once said: "What is education? In a simple sentence, it is to develop good habits. " The connotation of good habits is very extensive, such as reading habits, writing habits, health exercise, exercise habits, work and rest habits and so on. In all kinds of habit formation education, as a school, the simplest and most basic habit formation is the formation of good work habits.

Different periods, different disciplines and different teachers have different requirements for students' homework, and their understanding of the connotation of good habits in homework is also different. Some people may ask, is it still important for high school students to develop the habit of doing homework? Psychologists' research shows that a behavior will form a stable habit after 90 days' reinforcement, and a lifelong habit after one year's reinforcement. High school students have formed relatively stable habits after at least nine years of intensive homework. I once taught a class, which was dedicated to physical education class. Many students have poor homework habits, especially writing habits, and one third of them scribble. I joked with the class teacher that it is normal for several students in a class to have poor writing skills, and a large proportion of students have poor writing skills, which may be the characteristics of sports super-long classes. I discussed with the class teacher and asked the students to buy a copybook and practice calligraphy every day, starting with the basic strokes and correcting their writing habits. After a semester's training, many students' handwriting has improved, and the single handwriting at least looks clear and neat. But when it comes to homework and exams, it is still similar to the original situation. So objectively speaking, it is more difficult to correct bad homework habits or develop new homework habits in high school than in primary school and junior high school. However, our teachers can't give up the cultivation of good homework and habits for high school students because they have difficulty in homework and don't correct bad habits.

I have taught elementary school and junior high school, and I have only been engaged in Chinese teaching in ordinary senior high schools for five years. My requirements for students' habits are very simple, that is, six words: punctuality, seriousness and effectiveness. Punctuality is a very simple requirement, which is required by primary school students in their homework. I have a schedule for assigning homework. Generally speaking, I usually finish my homework on the same day, check the next day, check the holidays, check the holidays and check the beginning of school. Any overdue homework will not be corrected. Seriously, it includes both formal requirements and content requirements. Formally, it includes neat handwriting, standard and word count requirements, and the words are particular; Content, don't copy, don't agree, think seriously, have your own ideas and opinions. Effective means that through practice, students are required to gain something, do something and play the role of practice.

Second, the key to cultivating good homework habits lies in teachers. Teachers should be people-oriented, empathize with students' reality, and fully consider the quantity, difficulty and pertinence of homework.

Students in our school get up at half past six in the morning and go to bed at eleven in the evening. Students sleep for more than seven hours at night at most. However, many students have their own small lights. After the school lights out, they will light their own small lights and burn the midnight oil. It should be said that the situation in other high schools is similar. As teachers and school administrators, we are very opposed to students' learning methods. Lack of sleep and poor rest will directly affect their health and learning efficiency. However, this situation has been repeatedly banned. Sometimes, after the teacher who checked the dormitory left at night, the student dormitory appeared another scene of bright lights. Why is this happening? Students are also complaining that there is really too much homework. If you don't stay up late, you can't finish it at all. There are more than ten subjects in senior high school, three or five subjects in senior high school, and all subjects have homework. It seems that there is only one and a half hours of homework in a single subject. However, the sum of them is too much, which makes the students unable to lift their heads and turn over and struggle in the sea of questions for a long time. It can be said that the sea is boundless! In fact, as long as we change our thinking, change our roles, think more about the students, and have a little more student-oriented thinking, our teacher will be more careful in assigning homework. Some teachers always complain that students practice exam questions repeatedly. Why can't students do well and fail the exam? Think about it from another angle. Education can really be like analogy. Do you still need such a long academic system? Do you still need so many teachers? Can students' skills be effective only by repeated practice and sea tactics? For example, the examination questions of poetry appreciation, from grade one to grade three, have been trained enough, and the answering methods and skills taught by the teacher are also deep enough. However, if students encounter a poem that is difficult for them to understand, they still can't afford it and can't do it well. Therefore, in order to improve teaching efficiency, teachers should not only rely on the tactics of asking questions about the sea, but also select exercises to let students master some skills, as well as "extra-poetic kung fu". Teachers should not assign too much homework to occupy or even seize students' study time. The homework time of each subject in senior one should not exceed 20 minutes as far as possible, and that of senior three should not exceed 30 minutes as far as possible. The forms of homework should also be varied, not only written homework, but also information consultation, reading, investigation and research, social practice activities and so on. Holidays can't be a large amount of homework, so that students' holiday completion is submerged in the sea of teachers' questions.

If teachers assign too much homework, which is too difficult and poorly targeted, it will not only be tantamount to teaching, but will lead to students' weariness and conflict, form bad habits such as carelessness, plagiarism and graffiti, and endanger the healthy growth of students.

Thirdly, to cultivate good homework habits requires teachers to establish a good homework inspection and evaluation mechanism.

To cultivate students' good homework habits, teachers should set an example, have good homework correction habits and establish a complete homework inspection and assessment mechanism. Teachers should do it themselves: the arrangement must be checked, the inspection must be timely, and there must be feedback when correcting. I usually check the homework assigned on the first day a few minutes before class the next day. The inspection can be a general survey or a random inspection. I use a digital booth to show the completion of students' homework, affirm what students have done well in time, and take immediate remedial measures for common problems in homework. For Zhou Xun, I usually use the time of self-study in the evening to correct quickly, and send the test papers to the students at the first time, so that students can find out the problems exposed in practice in time when they are still excited. In this way, students can also feel the teacher's work attitude and the teacher's concept of time.

Homework correction should not only meet students' psychological expectations, but also make students feel the teacher's attention and care for themselves. We should also pay attention to the way of checking and correcting homework, be diversified and pragmatic, and liberate ourselves from the simple way of correcting homework.

Only by strictly controlling the amount of homework, fully grasping the difficulty of homework, stressing practical results and improving pertinence can teachers let students practice calmly, ensure the quality of homework, enjoy the happiness of homework completion, forge students' rigorous and serious attitude towards homework, cultivate students' good writing habits and shape students' concept of punctuality. From the teaching point of view, this is to cultivate students' most basic homework habits, and from the perspective of life, this is also an education of being a man. If students have the habit of punctuality, preciseness, earnestness and calmness, and are pragmatic, not sloppy and reluctant when completing tasks, attach importance to the process, pursue the truth and be calm and calm, it will naturally be of great benefit to the growth and development of students throughout their lives.
