Heyuan Vocational and Technical School was established in 200 1 (formerly known as Heyuan Vocational High School, renamed after the layout adjustment of secondary vocational education in February 2002). It is a secondary vocational and technical school directly under the Education Bureau of Heyuan City, with junior high school graduates as the enrollment target and "cultivating life virtues and learning skills" as the training goal.

Heyuan Radio and TV University is a comprehensive open university with higher education under the Central Radio and TV University and Guangdong Radio and TV University.
