Shanghai Normal University, referred to as Shanghai Normal University or Shanghai Normal University for short, is a key university in Shanghai jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. A well-known comprehensive university with the characteristics of normal education and the coordinated development of arts and science. The national "Thousand Talents Plan", "National Postgraduate Plan for Building High-level Universities" and "Excellent Teacher Training Plan" focus on the construction of colleges and universities. The school was founded in 1954, and changed its name to Shanghai Normal University in 1984.
Suzhou University, referred to as Suda for short, is a national key construction university under the "21/project" and the first batch of key universities under the "201/plan". It is a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province and a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan".
Shanghai school of visual arts, siva for short, was established in September 2005. It is a new comprehensive art undergraduate college run by social forces such as state-owned investment. After nearly eight years of construction and development, in April of 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed from "Fudan University Shanghai school of visual arts" to "Shanghai". The school is the only comprehensive visual art college in Shanghai, one of the national 13 independent undergraduate course art colleges, and one of the members of the international alliance of ten art, design and media institutions in Chinese mainland.
