Despite the regional economic recession, Youngstown has provided a series of cultural and entertainment resources. In addition, a series of tourist attractions have been added to all walks of life in recent years. The cultural center of the community is the Electric Auditorium, a former Warner Bros. Movie Palace, the main concert hall in the area and the seat of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra. The landmark building in the city center is Hall 5, which is restricted in the whole city. In addition to the newly renovated Power Hall, it also completed the Ford Concert Hall in 2006. The neo-classical Steinberg Auditorium in the north of the city has been providing concert services as a website for decades, and often rents private venues. The center also hosted the Stambo Youth Orchestra.
The Auckland Art Center, located in the city center, is a place where locally produced plays are staged. The organization added Youngstown Theatre to "the south side of the city". The service area of grass-roots community cinemas and theaters in Mahongning County, Youngstown has a history of more than 80 years, despite financial problems from time to time. Famous dramatic figures from Youngstown include comedian joe flynn, film actor Elizabeth Hartman, singer and Broadway actress Maureen McGovern, and TV and film actor Ed O 'Neill. Butler American College of Art is located in the northeast of Youngstown State University. Founded by industrialist Joseph G. Butler Jr. in 19 19, this institution is the first national museum dedicated to American art. Opposite Butler College, there are MacDonald Museum, Art Museum of YSU University and Mahoning Valley Center for Contemporary Art.. McDonald's, founded in 199 1, has a regularly changing exhibition area, with national and international artists, students, teachers and alumni of the art department. Clarence Smith Mineral Museum is dedicated to providing the public with the opportunity to enter the YSU campus. The museum is operated by the Department of Geology of the university and installed in the campus building.
YSU in the north is the weapon family museum of local history. Located at Wake Avenue 1905, Mahoning Valley History and Society Museum is a mansion with arterial craft style. The museum used to be the legacy of local industrialists, during which time it maintained guest rooms and displayed the original contents of the family, including furniture, artworks and personal belongings. The museum arranged a revolving exhibition with the theme of local history. Recently, the museum opened the "Anne Kilcowley chrisman History Room". The MVHS Archives is in the front compartment of the manor, near the back of the website.
The industry and labor force of Youngstown Historical Center are located on the same level of the southern YSU campus, overlooking the urban area. This museum is owned and operated by the Ohio Historical Society, and mainly displays the history of steel production in Mahoning Valley. Other museums include the Children's Museum in the Valley, an interactive education center in the city center, and the Davis Education and Recreation Center, a small museum that shows the history of Youngstown Mill River Park. In the north of the city, Youngstown Steel Heritage Foundation built Todd Engine Heritage Park, which is a collection of equipment and cultural relics featuring the steel industry. The main exhibit is the 19 14 rolling mill steam engine of William Todd Co., Ltd., which was built in Youngstown and used for Youngstown watches and Guanshi Nanmushan project. One TOD engine and the other three are American rolling mill engines, which is a milestone in mechanical and material engineering. Youngstown's most popular resource is Mill Creek Park, which is a 5-mile (8-kilometer) long garden woodland, reminiscent of Rock Creek Park in Washington State. The popular observation point of researcher Binjiang Garden provides a contrast for tourists to appreciate the area. From the south, you can see the crown forest overlooking the lake glacier, and visitors can see the downtown Youngstown from the north. There are two 18 hole golf courses in the park. In the north, the terrain is undulating, while in the south, the stadium is characterized by narrow and tree-lined fairways. Other functions include playground, track and field and picnic area.
In 2005, Moxi Park was listed as a national registered historical site. The plaque commemorating this event is reserved land for Youngstown lawyer Volney Rogers to create a memorial statue near Moxi Park.
A small leisure area in Wake Park is the historic north side. Wake Park is surrounded by industrialists, business leaders and professionals, arranged along the luxurious cities in the early 20th century, which were built in Youngstown's "boom" era. Stambo Auditorium is a popular place for concerts and other public activities, located on the southwest edge of the nearby park. Another small entertainment place is called the north side of Crandall Park. Crandall Park provides a well-maintained and landscaping home and tree-lined streets, suitable for walking, shopping and entertainment. Several cemeteries (especially the historic Oak Mountain Cemetery) and small entertainment venues are all over the city. These leisure spaces include Family Park, John Pope, Xiong Dailin Park, Borts Swimming Pool and North Side Swimming Pool. Youngstown singer: Bruce Princeton
The lyrics are as follows:
In northeastern Ohio
Back to 1803
James and Danny Heaton.
Found the ore in the grave
They built a blast furnace.
Along the coast
They made shells.
Helped the Union win the war.
Here in Youngstown
Here in Youngstown
My dear Jenny, I'm sinking.
Honey, in Youngstown
My father works in a furnace.
Make them hotter than hell
I came back from Vietnam and worked all the way to Scarver.
A job that is also suitable for the devil.
Iron-copper ore, coke and limestone
Feed my children and pay my wages.
Then the chimney spread out like God's arm.
Into a beautiful sky of soot and dirt.
Here in Youngstown
Here in Youngstown
My dear Jenny, I'm sinking.
Honey, in Youngstown
Well, my father is here. He is working.
When he returned from World War II,
Now there is only waste and rubble in the yard.
He said that those big boys did what Hitler could not do.
These factories built tanks and bombs.
Won the war in this country.
We sent our son to Korea and Vietnam.
Now we want to know why they died.
Here in Youngstown
Here in Youngstown
My dear Jenny, I'm sinking.
Honey, in Youngstown
From Monongale Valley
To Mesabi iron series
Appalachian coal mines
The story is always the same.
700 tons of metal a day
Now, sir, you tell me the world has changed.
Once I make you rich enough
Rich enough to forget my name.
In Youngstown
In Youngstown
My dear Jenny, I'm sinking.
Honey, in Youngstown
When I die, I don't want any part of heaven.
I won't do a good job in heaven.
I prayed that the devil would come and take me away.
Standing in the melting pot of hell
Chinese translation:
This is northwest Ohio.
Hui 1803
James and Dan. Heaton
A mine was discovered in the Yellow River basin.
They built an iron smelting furnace.
Along the river bank
They have produced cannons again.
Help the alliance win the war (civil war)
This is Youngstown.
This is Youngstown ~
Dear Jenny, I'm going downhill
This is dear Youngstown.
My father works in an iron smelting furnace.
Make them hotter than hell.
I came back from Vietnam and turned to be a stripper.
A job that also serves the devil
Iron flint, coke, limestone
Raise my children and give me money.
Then black smoke rises, as if in the arms of God.
Into the beautiful sky full of smoke and dirt.
This is Youngstown.
This is Youngstown.
Dear Jenny, I'm going downhill
This is dear Youngstown.
My father went to work in Ohio,
When he came back from World War II,
Now this yard is just a ruin.
He said that their great man was doing what Hitler could not do.
They use these mines to produce tanks and bombs.
They won the national war.
We send our children to North Korea and Vietnam.
Now we wonder what they used to work so hard for.
This is Youngstown.
This is Youngstown.
Dear Jenny, I'm going downhill
This is dear Youngstown.
From Monongahela Valley
Go to Mesabi iron mine area.
Iron ore in Appalachia
The story is always the same.
700 tons of steel are produced every day.
Now, sir, you tell us that the world has changed.
I once made you rich enough.
Rich enough to forget my name.
Youngstown, huh
Youngstown, huh
Dear Jenny, I'm going downhill
This is dear Youngstown.
When I die, I don't want to go to heaven.
I won't be fine in heaven.
I prayed that the devil would come and take me away.
Let me stay in the hot iron furnace hell.
