About science:
After reading The Course of Science, I understood the importance of understanding the history of scientific development for the first time. Understanding the history of science plays a particularly important role in the innovation of our scientific research work. Perhaps because of cultural tradition, score education and skill education are still popular in China. A negative consequence of this kind of education is to cultivate many scientific myths and establish an incorrect scientific image.
The first is to make scientific theory static and rigid, the second is to make scientific theory sacred and dogmatic, the third is to make science technical, and the last is to make science practical and instrumental. Faced with new concepts, new terms, new formulas and new laws in textbooks, people can easily gradually form such concepts and habits: this is the truth, learn it and remember it.
Over time, historical and evolutionary scientific theories have been sanctified and dogmatized. People don't know where this theory comes from or why, but we still have to believe it is true. This dogmatic attitude is obviously incompatible with the scientific spirit and will seriously hinder the development of innovation work.
