Tianjin Maritime College, located in Tianjin, is a comprehensive public full-time vocational college with the characteristics of shipping, engineering, economy and management.
The college originated from Tianjin Institute of Science and Technology and was established in 1962. In February 2006, Tianjin Maritime College was established with the approval of Tianjin Municipal People's Government. The college covers an area of 976 mu, with a construction area of more than 200,000 square meters, with more than 10,000 students 1 10,000. The college consists of eight teaching departments, namely, Department of Navigation Technology, Department of Marine Engineering, Department of Shipping Economics, Department of Cruise Tourism, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Engineering Technology, Department of Basic Education (Sports Department) and Department of Ideological and Political Education. There are 252 full-time teachers.
