Higher Education Research is the source periodical of China Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI). According to Guangming Daily in March 1, 200 1 1, China Social Science Research and Evaluation Center of Nanjing University ranked 1998 national social science journals according to their impact factors, and our journal ranked 19, making it the only educational journal to enter the top 20. In 2000, "Research on Higher Education" was selected into the national Chinese core journals for four consecutive times, namely 1994, 1996 and 1998.
