On how to cultivate children's interest in paper art activities
As the saying goes, "ingenuity", dexterous hands are one of the signs of a person's developed brain. There are 200,000 nerve cells in the brain that control hand movements, but only 50,000 nerve cells are responsible for trunk movements, which shows the importance of developing dexterity in the brain, and dexterity in hand movements will in turn promote the development of various regions of the brain. This is what people often say, "It is better to do it once." Children's origami and paper-cutting are important contents of children's quality education, which can not only cultivate children's aesthetic taste, but also exercise children's practical ability and make children "ingenious". Mr. Chen Heqin, a famous children educator in China, said: "Children should have the opportunity to origami and cut paper." He believes that origami and paper-cutting have two advantages: "one is to develop a good habit that one can enjoy, and the other is to exercise hand muscles." In other words, origami and paper-cutting can make children quiet and concentrate on one thing; It also allows them to develop a pair of dexterous hands, which often means brains, because the training of hand muscle groups is conducive to the development of the brain. Homelinski, a famous educator in the former Soviet Union, once said: "Children's wisdom is at your fingertips." Paper art, that is, art works with paper materials as the main form of expression, is characterized by being able to fully display the unique beauty of paper materials. Different from traditional painting art, paper is only a foil to the colors written by artists. There are many manifestations of "paper art", such as paper cutting, collage paper art, origami, paper carving, paper plastic and so on. Paper-cutting is the biggest branch of "paper art". Pieces of colored paper can be cut into lifelike figures, naughty and lovely animals, beautiful flowers and plants, majestic and tall buildings ... This magical change is really fascinating and fascinating. In fact, origami and paper-cutting are inseparable partners. Only after folding can it be cut beautifully. There are many materials for folding, cutting and tearing: newspapers, leaflets, kraft paper, waxed paper ... as long as it can be folded, cut and torn, it can be used. Origami and paper-cutting play an important role in cultivating children's practical ability, developing children's intelligence and cultivating children's spirit of doing things seriously, but they also have the same effect. Through various paper art activities, children can learn various skills such as folding, cutting, tearing, printing and dyeing. For example, according to the skills of folding, cutting, tearing, diagonal, triangle, four corners, parallel and continuous, all kinds of shapes created by children are naive, natural and standardized, which not only brings fun, but also opens up a broader world for their imagination. In the process of operation, the awareness of rules is enhanced, so that they understand that things must be done in order, which can promote children's communicative ability; It can improve children's appreciation of art, inspire children to create beauty, express beauty, cultivate children's sentiment and educate them; Can train children's hand, eye and brain coordination ability, develop children's finger muscle flexibility and develop children's small muscle groups; Can cultivate children's good quality and behavior habits of carefulness, concentration and patience; Can cultivate their unique imagination and expressive force, and cultivate their enterprising spirit. Therefore, we conducted a study on "colorful paper art" in the regional activities of large classes, so that children can choose their own activity materials and actively carry out paper art activities in a relaxed and free atmosphere, thus stimulating their practical ability and innovative potential. First, create a good activity environment. Because paper art is a folk art, modern children seldom touch it. Therefore, as a teacher, we should first create a good environment for children's paper art, so that children can develop better in activities. For example, in the classroom, there are all kinds of folded and cut combination paintings hanging on the walls, all kinds of window grilles hanging on the windows, and flower chains made by children themselves hanging on the walls. Usually, I often lead my children to watch the works of some famous folding paper-cut artists in China and feel the charm of folding paper-cut. The second is to stimulate their interest in activities. The content of paper art that children contact most in life is paper-cutting. Paper-cutting, on the other hand, is a variety of "hi" characters, wishful headdresses, circles, squares, hearts, etc. when they get married, and they are also particularly interested. So I collected these "hi" words and wishful headdress flowers and showed them to the children. After watching it, the children asked me to teach them, so I asked them to learn the simplest double happiness cut from me. After the activity, although their works were very rough, every child held his own works with a happy and successful smile on his face. Since then, they have developed a strong interest in paper-cutting. I often cut all kinds of window grilles in the corner of the area. Third, guiding children to learn to observe paper art is a kind of folk art, and its themes all come from life and nature. Therefore, when children create paper-cuts, they first need to have rich life experience, which requires children to be a conscientious person in their daily lives, learn to observe and be good at observing. In my first paper-cutting teaching, I asked every child to draw a beautiful flower. This seemingly simple activity has caused many problems. Many small flowers painted by children are the same and not creative, which fully shows that children lack observation in daily life. So I left a week for my children to find a small flower around their lives to observe and then create. The second time, the children's works really changed a lot. Although the lines are not smooth enough, they can accurately show the main characteristics of small flowers. From this activity, children also know that only by observing things around them attentively can they create excellent works. In the future, I often find that children pay special attention wherever they go. Once I took my children to the playground to play games, and several children gathered in a corner of the playground to observe something. The next day, one of them handed in a work of his own creation-a butterfly. I was surprised and asked him why he cut butterflies. He told me that he saw a beautiful butterfly flying among the flowers on the playground yesterday. Its wings are beautiful and the patterns are special. It seems that children have begun to learn to observe. Fourth, from easy to difficult, step by step in the teaching of origami, I first teach children simple objects and practice the most basic origami methods. When I have a certain foundation, let them look at the pictures and try to fold them themselves. Through many exercises and attempts, the children found some skills. For example, when cutting a circle, you can fold the square paper in half, then cut out a semicircle and open it to become a circle. Through repeated origami and paper-cutting, children can cut a five-pointed star with only one knife. The difficulty of the whole teaching process is gradually increasing, which is very suitable for children's development level. After a period of time, children have been able to create all kinds of interesting works according to their own wishes on the basis of what they have. Five, the infiltration of various educational methods. Any educational method in origami and paper-cutting teaching is not isolated, but has its own internal relations. Before each origami and paper-cutting, I let them think about what they need to fold, what method to cut and what to add. Doing so is conducive to cultivating children's thinking construction ability and language expression ability, and learning to do everything with a purpose. When they cut, they sometimes fail, and the cut image can't meet his expectations. This is why I will let him imagine what the cutting shape is like at this time, so as to create another work based on this existing finished product. This will not cause children's sense of failure, but also help to stimulate children's interest in activities. After finishing a work, I invite all the children to be small teachers, evaluate their works together and improve their aesthetic ability. Every season or festival, I will also ask my children to cut some works on these themes to increase their understanding of seasons and festivals. Six, the fun lies in origami and paper-cutting activities. Origami and paper-cutting activities are inherently boring. For children, they like novel and interesting activities, so I often insert some episodes in origami and paper-cutting teaching to increase children's enthusiasm for activities. 1. Design activities that children are interested in according to the teaching content. Combine all kinds of graphics with concrete things in life to make children feel interesting and easy to understand and accept. For example, practicing cutting parallel and continuous objects can be designed as "good friends", so that children can cut long lines into several continuous dolls and compare who cuts them out as the best friends, which can unite and be friendly. 2. The combination of origami and paper-cutting with painting and pasting enriches the works. Due to the limitation of skills, children's paper-cut works can't accurately represent objects, such as cutting butterflies and flower baskets. Tiny parts, such as the tentacles of butterflies and the handles of flower baskets, are difficult for children to cut out, so they can be instructed to use strokes. Some large-area objects, such as dresses and houses, can guide children to cut and paste decorative graphics or patterns to make their works richer and more beautiful. -3. origami and paper-cut works can be used to play games or beautify the environment. Such as: shaving and clothing, you can play the game of opening a shop; Flower arrangement and window grilles can be used for program decoration. All kinds of small animals can be arranged as zoos. Seeing children's works enriches the game, beautifies the environment, stimulates their interest in origami and paper-cutting, also stimulates their emotional experience of beautiful things and beautiful environment, and cultivates their sensitivity to beauty. Paper art activities can not only promote children's physical and mental development, but also develop their creativity. Through a semester's study and research, children have a strong interest in paper art, can create their own unique works, and all kinds of abilities are also developed in the activities.
