1in the middle of 968, Fang Ying married Huang Xixiang, a "Qihua bakery" two years younger than him, and soon became pregnant and had children. After their seven-year contract expired, they faded out of the film industry. He was shortlisted for the Golden Horse Award in Taiwan and the Golden Elephant Award in Hong Kong for "Best Production Designer" and "Best Fashion Design" for many times, and was invited as a judge of the Golden Horse Award in 1999. Fang Ying is also enthusiastic about the welfare and education of the film industry, and was elected as the chairman of the Hong Kong Film Art Association from 2007 to 2009.
Fang Ying, who graduated from elementary school, was a columnist in Hong Kong's Extra Magazine. In 2009, Hong Kong Sanlian Bookstore published her anthology Living in Freedom, which was well received by readers.
