[1], she was probably born around 665, and was the last child of Emperor Gaozong and Wuhou. When Princess Taiping was five or six years old, she often went to the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Guo Rong. Her accompanying maid-in-waiting (Princess Taiping herself) was raped by her cousin He Lanmin, which caused Wu Zetian's great anger. In addition, after Helan Min raped the future Crown Princess, Wu Zetian finally decided to revoke Helan Min's status as a martial heir, exile and execute Helan Min halfway. When Princess Taiping was 8 years old, she became a Taoist priest in the name of praying for her late grandmother, Mrs. Yang. Taiping was her Taoist name. Although she claims to be a monk, she has been living in the palace. Until Tubo sent messengers to propose marriage and named Princess Taiping to marry him. Li Zhi and Wu Zetian didn't want their daughter to get married far away, and they couldn't directly refuse Tubo. On the pretext of avoiding marriage, they constructed a view of peace to let her stay and become a monk.

First marriage

In 68 1 year, when Princess Taiping was about 16 years old, she married Xue Shao, the first nephew of Tang Gaozong and the second son of Princess Chengyang. The wedding was held in Wannian Pavilion near Chang 'an. The scene was so luxurious that the lit torches even scorched the trees along the way. In order to let the large wedding car pass, the wall of the county hall was even torn down.

Chen Hong Princess Taiping (15 photos) Wu Zetian dotes on her daughter. She thinks that Xue Shao's sister-in-law Xiao Hecheng is not noble enough to force Xue Jia and his wife to divorce. Some people gave up the plan because Xiao was born in Lanzhou, not because of poverty. Xue Shao's brother Ai Xue is also afraid of disaster, because Princess Taiping is too big. But in the first marriage, Princess Taiping kept her position and there was no scandal. Princess Taiping's first marriage ended in 688. Because Ai Xue participated in the rebellion of Li Chong, the imperial clan of the Tang Dynasty, and implicated Shao of Xu Xue, and Xue Shao himself did not participate in the rebellion. It was Wu Zetian who thought Princess Taiping had married the wrong lang. Wu Zetian ordered Ai Xue to be put to death, and Xue Shao sentenced him to one hundred years and starved to death in prison. At that time, Princess Taiping's youngest son had just had a full moon. Afterwards, in order to comfort her daughter, Wu Zetian broke the convention that Princess Tang could not seal 350 households and made an exception to seal 1200 households.

remarriage

Soon, Wu Zetian planned to marry the widowed Princess Taiping to Wu, but she gave up because Wu was ill (not because Wu gave birth to Chen Hong's version of Princess Taiping)

The most important reason for getting sick is that Wu is too close to the political center. Because Princess Taiping's first marriage was more or less shattered for political reasons, she didn't want to make the same mistake again. Princess Taiping remarried to Wu in 690. This marriage is considered to be a measure taken by Wu Zetian to protect Princess Taiping. Wu Zetian officially ascended the throne two months after her second marriage, and Princess Taiping saved the day by becoming the daughter-in-law of the Wu family. Wu is cautious and modest. In the second marriage, Princess Taiping imprisoned Toy Boy, committed adultery with courtiers, and once dedicated her favorite Toy Boy to her mother, Wu Zetian (that is, Zhang Changzong, the Lotus Liulang).

Wu and Zhou dynasties

Princess Taiping likes power. Wu Zetian thought she looked like herself and often discussed politics with her, but Wu Zetian never let Princess Taiping reveal her participation in politics before her death. Princess Taiping was afraid of her mother, so she showed restraint. She only decorated her mansion and bought other enterprises. During the Wu Zetian Dynasty, Princess Taiping's achievement in history books was only to eradicate the forces used by future ministers for self-defense. (According to records, Xue Huaiyi was also executed by her, and Chen Hong played Princess Taiping.

However, some people say that they were executed by the king. According to another record, Princess Taiping, as the representative of the Li family, attended the swearing-in ceremony of Wu Li together with Prime Minister Li Dan. Similarly, this statement is also controversial. On the weekend of Wu, the contradiction between Wu and Li became more acute. Wu Zetian recalled King Luling, made him his heir, and linked Wu and Li through a series of marriages to eliminate future political struggles. At the same time, she also began to let Princess Taiping and Shangguan Waner and her two Toy Boy Zhang Changzong and Zhang Yizhi take power. Although Princess Taiping herself is the daughter-in-law of the Wu family, she has always been a supporter of the Li family politically. In the first year of Dazu (70 1), two slanderers killed their direct descendants and offended Wu and Li. In August of the second year of Chang 'an (702), Li Xian, Li Dan and Princess Taiping signed a letter asking Zhang Changzong to be king, but Wu Zetian refused and changed them to lord protector. The performance eased the relationship between the two sides. However, three years later in Chang 'an in September (703), Zhang Changzong falsely accused Wei and Princess Taiping's lover, Si Li Cheng Gao Kan, which caused Wu Zetian's great anger and put Wei Gao in prison. The relationship between Princess Taiping and Li Jia was completely broken. In 705, Zhang Jianzhi, the advocate and prime minister of the Li family, launched a mutiny, killing two people and forcing Wu Zetian to abdicate to Prince Li Xian. Princess Taiping was named "Princess Taiping of Zhenguo" because of her active participation in the killing of two brothers, and her brother Li Dan was named "King An", and five thousand households were opened.

Zhongzong and Zong Rui Period

After the return of Tang Zhongzong, Princess Taiping gradually came to the stage and took an active part in politics. She was respected by Zhongzong, who once played Princess Taiping by Chen Hong.

The underground imperial edict exempted her from saluting the Crown Prince Li Zhongjun, Princess Changning and others. There was chaos in Zhongzong Dynasty, Wei Hou and Princess Anle, but Princess Taiping was resourceful and decisive. In July of the third year of Jinglong (709), Prince Li Zhongjun rebelled. Princess Anle and Zongchu wanted to take the opportunity to frame Princess Taiping and Li Dan's brother and sister, so they falsely accused them of conspiring with the prince. Because the presiding officer Cheng Xiaozhong made a tearful suggestion to Zhongzong, "Your majesty is rich in the world and can't accommodate a brother and a sister, which hurts!" Princess Taiping and Li Dan survived, but the hostility between Princess Taiping and Princess Anle obviously warmed up. (It is also recorded in unofficial history that Shangguan Waner became a rival in love with Princess Taiping because of Cui Xie and joined Webster's camp. ) In June of the fourth year of Jinglong (7 10), Tang Zhongzong was poisoned by Wei Ruyun and Princess Anle. Shangguan Waner and Princess Taiping drafted the testament together. Li Zhongmao, King of Wen, was appointed as the Crown Prince. The Queen knows politics, and the Prime Minister Li Dan advises politics, trying to strike a balance between Wei Hou and the royal family. However, Zong Chuke negotiated with Wei Hou's henchmen and changed the name of Prime Minister Li Dan to that of Prince, which broke this balance. In July, Princess Taiping sent her sons, Xue Chongjian and Liu Youqiu, to participate in the assassination of Wei Hou by Li Longji and others, so as to eliminate Wei Hou's henchmen, and personally took Li Zhongmao off the throne and re-established Prime Minister Li Dan for Tang Ruizong. Princess Taiping is deeply loved by thousands of families because of this, and the third son detective Di Renjie is the Princess Taiping.

Sealing the king is the peak of the power of the princess in Tang Dynasty. Princess Taiping launched a power struggle with Wei after helping the coup to get rid of Wei. She once asked Zong Rui to abolish Prince Li Longji and actively cultivate henchmen. At this time, five of the seven prime ministers in North Korea were appointed by Princess Taiping. Except Yao Chong and Song Jing, most civil and military officials belonged to Princess Taiping. Zong Rui tried to find a political balance between Li Longji and Princess Taiping so as not to hurt anyone. During this period, Princess Taiping persuaded Tang Ruizong to collect and sort out the works of Shangguan Waner, and kept the works of this talented woman.

sabotage

Zhou Xun version of Princess Taiping (20 photos) In August of the first year of Prince Li Longji's reign (7 12), he abdicated as the emperor's father. In the same year, Princess Taiping's husband Wu died. Born two years ago (7 13), he and Guo, Wang Maozhong, Gao Lishi and others preemptively trapped and killed General Zuo and Prime Minister Right. Princess Taiping fled into Nanshan Buddhist Temple and returned three days later. Emperor Li Dan came forward to ask Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty to pardon his capital crime, which was rejected by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. Princess Taiping was finally given a gift and died at home. Her husband Wu's grave was razed to the ground.

Controversy and doubt

There has always been doubt about whether Princess Taiping really planned rebellion. Some people think that she is arrogant, and Li Longji has reached the point of incompatibility, and it is impossible that she has no intention of resisting. However, some people think that with Princess Taiping gaining the upper hand in North Korea and her experience in many successful coups, if she really rebelled, it would not be so easy for Li Longji to pacify her.

children

Princess Taiping has four sons and four daughters, and Xue Shaosheng has two sons and two daughters: the eldest son Xue Chongxun, the second son Xue Chongjian, the eldest daughter Shi Xue, and the second daughter Shi Xue, the princess of Wanquan. Sun Yang version of Princess Taiping

He and Wu Yu have two sons and two daughters: the eldest daughter Wu, the second daughter Wu, the eldest son Wu Chongmin and the second son Wu Chongxing. After the death of Princess Taiping, all her sons were executed, except the second son, Xue Chongjian, who was pardoned because he was a member of the Li Longji Party.
