1. Can educational land be mortgaged?

1. Educational land cannot be mortgaged. Educational facilities of public institutions and social organizations for the purpose of public welfare shall not be mortgaged. Under normal circumstances, schools, kindergartens, medical institutions and other non-profit legal person's educational facilities, medical and health facilities and other public facilities established for public welfare purposes are not allowed to be mortgaged.

2. Legal basis: Article 399 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC).

The following properties shall not be mortgaged:

(1) Land ownership;

(two) the right to use collectively owned land such as homestead, private plots and private hills, except those that can be mortgaged according to law;

(3) Educational facilities, medical and health facilities and other public welfare facilities of non-profit legal persons established for the purpose of public welfare, such as schools, kindergartens and medical institutions;

(4) Property whose ownership and use right are unknown or controversial;

(5) Property that has been sealed up, detained or supervised according to law;

(6) Other properties that may not be mortgaged according to laws and administrative regulations.

Second, what are the conditions for mortgage loan?

1. Borrower 18 years old or older, and the last repayment period is not less than 65 years old;

2. Individuals have a stable job and address in the local area;

3. Provide proof of ownership of collateral, such as real estate license and vehicle driving license;

4. Personal credit information is good, and there is no bad credit record, especially credit card loans overdue or cashing.
