Chapter three: "Problems and suggestions of children's intergenerational education"

Abstract: With the continuous economic development and increasing social pressure in China, young parents have no time to take care of their children. In this context, intergenerational education has risen again. However, while exerting the residual heat of the elderly and relieving the pressure of young people, intergenerational education hinders the healthy development of young children, and even intensifies family conflicts due to children's education problems. Therefore, the country, government workers and family parents should pay attention to the prominence and seriousness of the problem of children's intergenerational education. This paper analyzes the causes and existing problems of intergenerational education, and puts forward corresponding suggestions to provide ideas for promoting the healthy development of children.

1 Current situation of intergenerational education in China

1. 1 the connotation of intergenerational education

? Intergenerational education? It refers to the education of grandparents' parents to their grandchildren, or the education of children is mostly undertaken by grandparents. We also call it? Ancestor education? This form exists relative to the traditional parental education. We know that the social competition is fierce now, young parents are forced to go out to work in order to survive, and some white-collar office workers are busy with work, or because of divorce, they shirk the responsibility of raising children to grandparents, grandparents and other grandparents. In order to reduce the burden of life for children, the elderly naturally shoulder the burden of taking care of children's life education and become intergenerational education.

1.2 Reasons for the re-emergence of intergenerational education

In today's society, it is not an accidental phenomenon that intergenerational education is booming again. It is promoted in many ways. On the one hand, in the process of modernization, intergenerational education is inseparable from profound social changes. On the other hand, the collision of Chinese and western ideas and the change of ideas affect children's educational methods to a certain extent. The specific reasons for the resurgence of intergenerational education can be summarized as follows.

1.2. 1 Family ethics since ancient times

In ancient society, patriarchal clan system has always been an important system, and blood relationship and deep-rooted family ethics have been formed around patriarchal clan system. Under this historical education origin, many ancestors consciously shouldered the burden of educating their grandchildren.

1.2.2 advocate the only child as a parent

With the implementation of China's family planning policy, there are more and more only-child families. The only child can be said to be spoiled and has relatively weak self-care ability. Now parents are inexperienced in raising children and have to ask their parents for help. Therefore, in the face of this fact, grandparents will do their best to help their children take care of their grandchildren and become a member of the intergenerational education team.

1.2.3 Life stress needs of young parents

Nowadays, with the fast pace of social life and fierce competition for talents, young parents have to face not only the pressure of work, but also the pressure of children's education. All kinds of pressures make them exhausted and depressed. In order to survive and live a better life, many parents choose grandparents to take care of their children and let them bear the educational burden of their children.

1.2.4 Urbanization promotes intergenerational education.

During the period of social transformation, unemployment is increasing, living standards and social security are low, and rural people go out to work, which makes the elderly and children become members of the left-behind tribes, so grandparents become the harbor for their grandchildren, and then more and more families are educated every generation.

1.2.5 the residual heat of ancestors and the educational price advantage of the next generation

Grandparents are very experienced in raising and educating children, and they are full of time and energy, and they are also very patient in educating children. Grandparents and old people instinctively care about children and like to live with them. At the same time, compared with off-campus counseling institutions, intergenerational education has the advantages of good quality and low price, which saves costs for young parents and is the most suitable and ideal choice for parents now.

2. Problems in intergenerational education

2. 1 Overindulgence leads to selfish and willful children.

At present, there are many only-child families and relatively few children, so grandparents are very accommodating and doting on their grandchildren, fearing that their children will be hurt and blamed. Therefore, the old people always obey their children's wishes and put their children in the highest position in the family. They don't stop their incorrect behavior in time, and try to meet their unreasonable demands, and gradually form a self-centered consciousness and wayward personality. Children have always been used to being taken care of by others, so they have developed the consciousness and concept that they don't care about taking care of others at all. As long as things don't go their way, you will lose your temper. At this time, selfish, willful and other bad characters gradually appear, which makes children unable to correctly understand and evaluate themselves and make them lose their way, which is not conducive to children's going to society and better adapting to social life.

2.2 Over-protection leads to children's femininity and lack of self-confidence.

In the intergenerational education family, grandparents arrange their children's life in an all-round way, eating and drinking Lazarus instead of everything, which makes children's independence in life quite weak and dependent. Once children leave their parents, there is nothing they can do. Too much protection from the next generation of parents seriously stifles the development of children's autonomy, the enhancement of self-confidence, the cultivation of sense of responsibility and the enhancement of social adaptability, which easily makes children become delicate. The all-round arrangement of grandparents' parents is only temporary, and the children have a long way to go. They will not follow their children all their lives, and it is impossible to arrange everything for them in the future. Therefore, the over-protection of each generation of parents is not conducive to the development of children's independence and self-confidence, and it will also create a psychological shadow for children to step into society in the future.

2.3 Old ideas hinder children from getting in touch with new things.

The parents and children of each generation have a large age span, which is easy to create a generation gap. Every generation of parents thinks differently from today's times. Due to different times, different economic, political and cultural influences, people are faced with different pressures and problems, so parents of different generations have different ideas about modern education. At the same time, society is changing rapidly and new things are constantly emerging. Parents of different generations have poor ability to accept and learn new things and cannot educate their children in time. This makes children less likely to accept new things, and it is easy to stifle children's curiosity about new things. This old concept seriously hinders children's contact with new things, affects the formation and development of children's personality, and is not conducive to children's adaptation to new changes in society and keeping up with the pace of social development.

2.4 Backward education methods are not conducive to children's learning.

The rise and development of modern science and technology and the popularization of computers make it necessary to learn computer technology knowledge. However, every generation of parents are bound by traditional ideas and slow to accept new things, so it is difficult to educate their children well. They just want their children to be orderly, smart, obedient, steady and not reckless. They are good at educating children with traditional methods instead of scientific methods, which stifles children's curiosity to pursue new things, and is not conducive to children's learning, learning new knowledge and new technologies, and thus is not conducive to children's healthy and all-round development.

3 Solutions and suggestions

3. 1 Educate children reasonably, and form an educational model with parents as the main part and grandparents as the auxiliary part.

Parental education cannot replace parental education. Parents are children's first and most important teachers, so parental education is irreplaceable, and intergenerational education is only a supplement, not the whole. Therefore, parents and grandparents should set their own tasks and form an educational model with parents as the main part and grandparents as the auxiliary part. It is the bounden duty of young parents to raise and educate their children. Never give up your responsibility, and don't shift the responsibility of raising children to the elderly and reverse the relationship between primary and secondary. No matter how busy you are, as long as you pay attention, time will be squeezed out Chat with children at night, tell them stories, and let them know what should be in the story. At the same time, parents should listen to their stories, understand their psychological needs, analyze their children's problems from their stories and correct them in time.

3.2 Avoid overprotection and combine grandparents' experience with parents' knowledge.

Whether it is intergenerational education or parental education, we all hope that our children will grow up healthily, which is what parents all over the world expect. Therefore, parenting education is a very important job. Parents and alternate parents should pay attention to methods, learn to combine the experience of their ancestors with their parents' knowledge, and standardize their children's behavior habits. So now young parents learn to strengthen their sense of responsibility. To learn the knowledge of family education and change the concept of family education, we must personally strengthen all aspects of children's education and quality education as much as possible. For parents who work outside the home, they must always know their children's learning and physical condition through telephone and video, learn to communicate with their children, let them know that you care about and love them, and reduce their loneliness. At the same time, in the process of communicating with children, according to their problems, we should actively and properly find ways to solve them and urge them to develop in a good direction.

Grandparents should not be limited to their past experiences, but learn to keep pace with the times and gradually change their educational concepts. Especially in families with conditions, grandparents should constantly learn new technologies, strategies and methods to educate their children, be strict with their children, not blindly meet their unreasonable demands, and not do everything for their children. Frustration education is sometimes necessary, so as to improve the level and effect of education for their children.

3.3 Keep pace with the times and educate children through all-round communication.

Besides parents and grandparents, kindergartens and schools are also an important part of children's education. It is also necessary to understand the current situation of intergenerational education and actively take effective measures to strengthen communication and cooperation among parents, schools and society. For kindergartens, holistic kindergartens, as an important step for children to start, should attach great importance to intergenerational education, take targeted measures, and consciously organize activities in this area to reduce the disadvantages brought by intergenerational education. For teachers, it is necessary to attach importance to the education of children from different generations, strengthen communication skills, enhance independence, and promote the healthy and all-round development of children from different generations as other children.

3.4 Change the way of education to promote children's enthusiasm for learning.

Grandparents learn to keep pace with the times and gradually change their educational concepts. At the same time, we should constantly learn new technologies, strategies and methods to educate children, teach them in a scientific way, protect their curiosity of pursuing new things, use computers rationally, provide them with necessary technical knowledge, let them keep up with the times, integrate into society and promote their all-round and all-round development.

3.5 Increase re-employment and reduce the burden on parents.

During the period of social transformation, unemployment is increasing, parents are under great pressure to raise their children, and the cost of raising children is also extremely high, so in this environment, the growth of children is greatly affected. In order to protect the healthy development of teenagers and train a generation of successors with ideals, morality and culture for the country, the country needs to provide unemployed people with opportunities for re-employment, increase training courses, improve the quality and vocational skills of unemployed people, improve their comprehensive quality, strive to find jobs again, provide financial support for families and children, provide material foundation and educational environment for the all-round development of children, make them grow up healthily and make the country full of vitality.

3.6 Deepen reform to solve the education problem of children of floating population.

Nowadays, many rural parents have to leave their homes to work in big cities in order to survive and live a better life, so parents are faced with the problem of whether to take their children to work in cities. Parents bring their children to the city, and the children face the problem of receiving education. Therefore, the state should continue to deepen, formulate rules and regulations, laws and regulations on the education of children of floating population, and give them material and spiritual support, so as to enhance the confidence and motivation of migrant workers, ensure the education of young children, improve their education level and reduce the disadvantages brought by intergenerational education.

In short, the ultimate goal of both parent education and intergenerational education is for the healthy development of children and children. Of course, intergenerational education is inevitable at this stage, and it will inevitably lead to many related problems. Intergenerational education is also beneficial. We must foster strengths and avoid weaknesses, better educate children and let them develop well.
