Hetao College, located in Linhe District, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia, is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The two-level management system of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Bayannaoer City is implemented, which is mainly managed by the autonomous region. Approved by the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is a pilot institution for overall transformation.

The school started from Hetao University established in 1985; In April 2000, with the approval of the people's government of the autonomous region, it was decided to merge Bameng Education College and Bameng Normal School into Hetao University. On March 29th, 20 12, it was upgraded to Hetao College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
