From the historical process of human society, family education, as a form of education, was born together with monogamous individual families. Engels summarized the development of human family from low to high into four forms: consanguineous family, primary group marriage system that excludes grandparents and grandchildren, but allows brothers and sisters to have sexual relations; Punaluan family family, a senior group marriage family that excludes sexual relations between brothers and sisters (that is, group marriage family); A fragile marriage relationship formed by a more fixed man and a more fixed woman living together-double family; A monogamous family that originated in the late primitive society and the early slave society. The education of children in group marriage society belongs to social education, and the birth of family education is born with the birth of monogamous families in a strict sense.
Since monogamous families came into being, human beings have practiced family education. Through long-term family education practice, people gradually accumulate experience, know the law and constantly update the law, thus building a certain theoretical system and forming a new discipline.
Family education in China has a long history. The hexagrams of family, gradual change, care and solution in Zhouyi were originally about family problems, including family education. If the Book of Changes was written in the Yin and Zhou Dynasties, family education in China has a history of more than 3,000 years.
Since Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, a series of books or works devoted to family education have appeared in China. Yan Family Instructions written by Yan Zhitui in Northern Qi Dynasty is the earliest existing family instruction in China. He put forward that family education must follow the principles of majesty and kindness, no doting, early education, influence and equality in loving children. In terms of educational content, the general requirement is "both morality and art", that is, educating children to "be virtuous" and "learn art". Yan's Family Instructions is not only the foundation work of ancient family education theory in China, but also the first family education monograph in the world. Since then, the anonymous Family Instructions of Taigong in Tang Dynasty, Family Instructions of Sima Guang in Southern Song Dynasty, Family Instructions of Yuan Cai in Song Dynasty, Yaomushun in Ming Dynasty, Family Instructions of Pang in Ming Dynasty, Family Instructions of Wu in Ming Dynasty, Mother Instructions in Ming Dynasty, Suicide Notes in Ming Dynasty and Suicide Notes in Qing Dynasty. According to the number recorded in the Comprehensive Records of China, there are 1 17 such books and readers. Among them, Sima Guang's Family Planning takes the Confucian classic theory of "keeping a family well" as the main line, collects stories of historical figures extensively, and expounds various moral principles and methods of managing families. This style is often used in family education works after the Song Dynasty. Zhu Bolu's family instructions, known as Zhu Zi's family instructions, are only 506 words, which almost became a special book for family education in Qing Dynasty.
Looking at these modes of family education, from the cultivation of children's character and ambition to the friendship of interpersonal communication; From the cultivation of daily consumption habits to the edification of life interest; From behavior, work attitude to career choice; From the cultivation of happiness concept to how to have a healthy body, it is full of parents' inculcation and warning on all aspects of future generations' lives. Just like Zeng Guofan's letters, they convey the family instructions and the way of treating people in China culture, making it a tradition and endless. In ancient China, especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, a large number of proverbs and family instructions about family education provided a rich family education heritage for future generations, which is unmatched by any country in the world.
If China's ancient family education is in the exploration stage of various theories, then family education, as a discipline, really differentiated from pedagogy and formed its own theoretical system, which is inseparable from the emergence of a large number of modern family education books.
On the basis of extensive and in-depth study of children's psychology, Chen Heqin, a famous modern educator in China, systematically observed and experimented with the family education received by his son and other children, and wrote a book "Family Education-How to Teach Children", which included children's psychology, the nature and principles of learning, and put forward the teaching principles of1kloc-0/family education. After reading this book, Mr. Tao Xingzhi deeply appreciated it. "
From a sociological point of view, Peng's Family Education was published in 1993. The book embodies the urgent need of the times for family education theory, and puts forward some theories and specific operation methods that meet the needs of the national conditions at that time, which has the disciplinary characteristics of the new theory of contemporary educational science.
Family Education, edited by Wu Qicheng and Yuan Yuan, as a textbook of normal university, deeply and systematically discusses some main theories of family education, further constructs the conceptual system and theoretical framework of family education, and has greatly improved academically.
In the book "Family Education in the Vision of Great Education", Professor Yang Baozhong investigates family education from a systematic perspective under the guidance of the concept of great education, enriching and developing the theory of family education, which is the inheritance and development of lifelong education.
As an ancient and brand-new knowledge, family education was born out of pedagogy. As a "social cell"-the basic function of the family, family education is influenced by many social factors outside the family. Therefore, the study of family education needs to learn from the theoretical basis and practical experience of various related disciplines. Pedagogy, sociology, ethics, psychology, anthropology and ecology are all closely related to the study of family education, and it is an inevitable trend for the development of modern educational science to conduct multidisciplinary comprehensive research on family education.
