For a long time, the love of middle school students has been regarded as "puppy love" and lacks mainstream guidance. In all kinds of classroom systems in schools, love education is also hard to find. Yesterday, at the "Classic Love Works Entering the Classroom-High School Students' Love Outlook and Life Education Forum" co-sponsored by Oriental Education Times and Shanghai Normal University Affiliated Middle School, Shanghai Normal University Affiliated Middle School explored for the first time to set up a unit to teach love articles in high school Chinese class. Should the education of love concept enter the Chinese class in senior high school? Which classics should I choose? How should teachers carry out love education? At the scene, Yu Yi, Huang Yufeng, leaves open and other experts and teachers had a heated discussion.

The Teaching of Love Articles in High School Chinese Class

Yesterday afternoon, Yin Shengjuan, a Chinese teacher at Shanghai Normal University, taught Zhang Ailing's prose Love in a high school Chinese class. In class, teachers and students read and discuss together and face the topic of love together. At first, the students were a little shy, but with the deepening of the discussion, they spoke freely and expounded their understanding of love. It is reported that this is the first time that the middle school affiliated to Shanghai Normal University has explored the establishment of a unit to teach love articles in high school Chinese classes.

Why do you make such an attempt and exploration? In fact, many senior high school students have already started "the early experience of love" when they enter the flower season of 16. However, in our current curriculum system and school management, there is still a gap in the systematic, early and inclusive education of love.

Before the class begins, a small survey of senior high school students shows that the classroom can't satisfy teenagers' pursuit of love. About the topic of love, 4 1. 1% students said that they had a special discussion once or twice in psychology class, 72.6% students said that the Chinese teacher had a special discussion once or twice in class, and 7.5% students said that the head teacher had a special discussion once or twice in class meeting class. The survey also shows that new media has become one of the main channels for teenagers to understand love, and 67. 1% of the respondents said that they learned about the course of love through new media.

In this regard, the Chinese teacher of the middle school affiliated to Shanghai Normal University suggested that setting up a unit to teach love in the Chinese class of senior high school can not only promote high school students at an important stage of their lives to face up to and understand love, but also reflect on themselves from the complex emotional experience of love and the social relations caused by it, examine life and find the value and significance of life.

Can Chinese class make up for the shortcomings of love education?

In fact, as early as 2004, Shanghai junior high school Chinese textbook (experimental book) specially created the unit "Love is like a song", which caused an uproar at that time and attracted heated discussion in society. "Junior high school students have entered adolescence, physically mature but psychologically immature, and the channels of love education are not smooth. It is necessary to set up such a unit. " In the view of Fan Shougang, editor-in-chief of the new junior high school Chinese textbook in the second phase of curriculum reform, it should be logical and urgent for love articles to enter senior high school Chinese textbooks and series of textbooks.

The survey also shows that if there is a unit about love in high school Chinese textbooks, 52.74% of the respondents said it was "quite good". It can be seen that the articles related to love in the textbook are very popular with students.

"Love education has always been a shortcoming in our traditional education, often shrouded in mystery." At the scene, Yu Yi, a famous educator and special Chinese teacher, likened this kind of love education class to lifting the veil, facing life and children's understanding and pursuit of love, giving a good education, thus solving the shortcomings in education and enriching children's spiritual pursuit, thus becoming an indispensable good carrier in life education.

Don't make love education knowledgeable and quantitative.

What articles should I choose now that I call for a love unit? How should teachers carry out teaching?

In the process of forming the concept of love, 50.7% of the respondents believe that love in works of art plays an important role. When asked "which love articles should you choose in your Chinese textbook", the students gave a variety of answers, among which "established" works of art such as Romeo and Juliet, Jane Eyre, Titanic, Butterfly Lovers and A Dream of Red Mansions won the most votes.

In this regard, Fan Shougang suggested that teaching these classic love works in one unit can not only have positive guidance, such as articles expressing love loyalty and persistence, but also have some negative cases to play a warning and reflection role. However, the writer Ye Kai believes that the selection of articles should extend from the teaching materials and read more long literary works, such as Young Werther, rather than some fragmented texts.

As for the teaching methods, Huang Yufeng, a special Chinese teacher, suggested giving students more space to discuss and think, so that they can speak freely and express their feelings about love, instead of being led by the nose by the teacher too much. Through such a love class, students can really know how to love and solve their emotional confusion.

Teacher Yu Yi said: "I don't agree with the knowledge and quantification of love education, but we should nourish children's hearts in the spring breeze."

Senior one students also have their own ideas about the choice of articles. He admits that he doesn't want teachers to convey some values with obvious tendencies through teaching, such as the first love is doomed to failure, but he hopes that through the study of these classic works, students will realize that love includes responsibility, respect, tolerance and understanding in addition to beauty.
