General situation of Xinhua college
The school covers an area of 1.500 mu with a building area of 500,000 square meters. There are more than 23,000 full-time college students, including nearly 20,000 undergraduates. Full-time teachers 1400, of which 42% are teachers with the title of subtropical high or above. There are 255 laboratories in the experimental training center of the school. The total collection of literature resources in the school library exceeds 3 million volumes.
The school has 12 secondary colleges, including Big Data and Artificial Intelligence College, Urban Construction College, Electronic Engineering College/Intelligent Manufacturing College, Culture and Media College, Accounting and Finance College, Business School, Foreign Languages College/International Education College, Pharmacy College, Art College, Science and Technology College/Continuing Education College, and two teaching departments, namely Marxism College and General Education Department.
At present, there are 62 undergraduate majors, forming a discipline and professional system with engineering and management as the mainstay and comprehensive development of economics, literature, medicine, art and teaching. For a long time, the school has adhered to the coordinated development of teaching and scientific research, oriented to the cultivation of applied talents, attached importance to the leading role of teaching research in teaching reform and the promoting role of scientific research in teaching, and achieved a series of achievements in quality engineering, scientific research, undergraduate disciplines, and science and technology competitions.
There are more than 500 national and provincial "quality engineering" projects in our school, including national off-campus practice teaching base 1 project, 35 provincial-level first-class majors, first-class (brand) majors, specialty majors, comprehensive reform pilot majors, revitalization plans and excellence plans, and 65,438 provincial-level "excellent engineer education and training plans" and talent training mode innovation experimental areas.
