Hunan University, referred to as "Huda", is located in Changsha. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. Jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, it ranks among the national "World-class University Construction Universities", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project".
