Mainly reflected in the following two aspects:
(A) Contemporary college students' awareness of national security is generally weak
First, contemporary college students have misunderstandings about national security. For example, when it comes to national security, college students can only think of local and traditional understandings, such as the FBI, Russian spies, wars and military affairs. Some college students regard national security as an intelligence spy, and can't consciously link their responsibilities with safeguarding national security, and then think that "national security has nothing to do with themselves." Second, national security awareness is weak. The theme of peace and development has been widely accepted and recognized by contemporary college students. Due to the misleading of some malicious media, many college students only see the peaceful side of the world, but ignore the fact that the world is full of crises and unstable factors. They don't know enough about western countries, hostile forces and unstable factors around them, and their awareness of national security is generally weak.
(2) The primary goal of the western countries' ideological infiltration strategy towards China is the contemporary young college students.
Engels said, "Whoever wins the youth will win the future." Young college students are the builders and successors of a country.
Whoever grasps the contemporary young college students will grasp the future of this country. Therefore, young college students have always been the object of competition from all walks of life, and contemporary college students are no exception. Globalization has been greatly exaggerated, as if globalization has brought us more economic prosperity and development, more convenient and faster people's lives and other beautiful things. China is facing a severe, complicated and changeable security situation, and the national security awareness of contemporary college students is relatively weak. Therefore, it is both necessary and urgent to strengthen the national security education of contemporary college students and cultivate their national security awareness.
