It's not a bad thing for children to tell lies. As parents, we can worry less. The following is a small series on how to educate children who lie, hoping to help everyone.
How to educate children to lie?
1. Two or three years old, laugh it off.
Throw building blocks all over the house. It is said that my father did it. Yao Ming just finished eating and said he didn't eat. Have you ever found that two or three-year-old children began to say that the address was unknown, pointing out that he had made a mistake and was confident, which really made us angry and helpless. In fact, children of this age will blurt out some childish words, and there are very obvious traces of fantasy. "There is a flower fairy in my family" and "My father has a Tyrannosaurus Rex" ... So children around 3 years old lie, because there is no clear purpose, parents don't have to be so nervous, in addition to laughing it off, sometimes they can cooperate with their wild imagination.
2. Guidance in early childhood
Children who go to kindergarten will have some fantasy lies at the beginning. For example, a boy brought a toy gun and other children were envious when they saw it. They will say "we have it at home" and even describe the color, shape and function of the gun vividly, but it is not. However, when he slowly goes to the middle class, the child will have some cover-up lies, because he is also afraid of wetting the bed without telling his mother and teacher or being laughed at by other children, so he tries to cover it up with lies like "I'm just wet" and "sweating".
Parents should help their children to better distinguish between reality and imagination in real life. For example, tell their children, "We don't have this gun at home. If you like it, as long as you can arrange the toys in the next week, mom will promise to buy them for you. " I'm sure the children will understand soon. At the same time, you should give your child more understanding and tell him that it doesn't matter if you get wet. Mom would get wet when she was a child, but you must tell adults, because you will catch a cold if you don't change your pants.
3. School-age attention correction
If children in primary school lie, they basically lie purposefully, and the reasons that lead children to lie are largely from their parents themselves.
Afraid of parents' accusations and reprimands, children will instinctively lie to protect themselves. Therefore, in addition to paying attention to children's lying behavior, parents also need to understand the needs behind children's lying. For example, every time they learn the piano, they say they have a stomachache because they are not interested in the piano at all. When they understand, they should have a good talk with their children and guide them to correct. At the same time, they should also think about whether their educational methods are really suitable for children.
