Puning No.2 Middle School, located in Puning City, Guangdong Province, is a provincial, prefectural and county key middle school, a first-class school in Guangdong Province, the first batch of national demonstration high schools in Guangdong Province, the CUBA training base of the National College Basketball Association, and a sports characteristic school (basketball) in Guangdong Province.

The school was founded in the spring of 1924, formerly known as Puning Sandu Academy, and later renamed Puning No.2 Junior Middle School; 1958 was designated as a provincial, prefectural and county key middle school; 1967 was renamed as "Puning Dongfanghong War School"; 1979, renamed Puning No.2 Middle School.

Historical evolution:

/kloc-in the spring of 0/924, Puning Sandu Academy, the predecessor of Puning No.2 Middle School, was founded and later renamed Puning No.2 Middle School.

/kloc-in the autumn of 0/926, the school moved to Urumqi, but it was closed the following year because of the turbulent situation and public security.

1929, Puning No.2 junior middle school was initiated by local Zhang Chongyue and others. Because many students took part in the first great revolutionary movement, they were ordered to close by the pseudo-county government the following year.

1938, Huang, the returned overseas Chinese, initiated and organized the reopening, but for some reason it was renamed as "Puning County No.2 Middle School", which was sealed up and dissolved by the county government at the end of the year.
