Established in 1984, Strait Literature and Art Publishing House is a professional publishing house which mainly publishes literary, cultural and artistic books and periodicals. Nearly 200 kinds of books are published every year, including two periodicals, Pattern and Happy Language, among which Happy Language is listed as one of the 100 excellent newspapers recommended by the State Administration to children all over the country. Since the establishment of the Self-study Society, the Straits Literature and Art Publishing House has taken it as its mission to prosper literature and promote cross-strait cultural exchanges, and has been rated as "National Excellent Publishing House" by the General Administration of Press and Publication for three times.
