In order to introduce foreign high-quality educational resources, cultivate skilled talents urgently needed in China, and promote educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Britain, China (Ministry of Education) Study Abroad Service Center (CSCSE) and Scottish Academic Qualifications Management Committee (SQA) jointly introduced the British Higher Education Diploma Program to China in 2003.
With the support of the Chinese and British governments, Beijing Institute of Technology started the British higher education project in 2007, namely the "3+2" multinational international undergraduate and postgraduate study program, which was specifically undertaken by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The "3+2" program is a phased academic education generally accepted by British universities. It has a high-quality curriculum system, advanced teaching concepts and curriculum characteristics of combining academics with practice, which has been widely recognized and praised by countries all over the world.
In recent years, the school has actively expanded the scope of students' continuing education, and the 3+2 project has established continuing education channels with more than 1 10 universities in 13 countries. That is to say, after studying at Beijing Institute of Technology for three years, students can choose public universities above 1 1 which are recognized and docked by the Ministry of Education to continue their studies, and they can get a bachelor's degree recognized at home and abroad as soon as1year and can directly study the master's degree program of1year.
The Ministry of Education certifies the degrees obtained by returned students according to relevant regulations. The Beijing Municipal Government will provide all kinds of preferential conditions and resettlement for returned overseas students in accordance with the Interim Measures of Beijing Municipality on Promoting Overseas Students' Entrepreneurship and Employment in Beijing promulgated in May 2009.
