Mei Yiqi (1889 ~ 1962) was born in Tianjin. The first batch of students studying in the United States with G-money successively served as teachers in Tsinghua University, professors in physics departments and provosts, and served as presidents of Tsinghua University from 193 1 ~ 1948, and founded Tsinghua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan Province Province, where they served as presidents until their death.

19311February 3, at the inauguration ceremony of the president of Tsinghua University, Mei Yiqi left the most famous sentence in the history of China University: "The so-called scholar is not a building, but a master."
