Extended data:

Educational anthropology is a new frontier discipline between pedagogy and anthropology, which uses the concepts, principles and methods of anthropology to study education.

It permeates the encyclopedia, draws lessons from various schools, and integrates anthropology, education, sociology, history, philosophy, culturology, biology and other related disciplines. It advocates grasping the essence of modern education from the macro-level of human development and breaking the old situation of education-oriented and education-oriented.

From the perspective of the development of human history, it provides two new methods and new dimensions to comprehensively examine education and human development, and promotes the renewal of traditional education and the evolution of modern education.

In other words, we can compare and think about some educational phenomena and problems from different cultural perspectives, study their causes and characteristics, and summarize their general laws, including historical vertical comparison and national horizontal comparison, macro comparison and micro comparison, or hierarchical comparison and category comparison.

As well as the differences in comparative research on themes, it should be said that the disciplinary nature of educational anthropology determines that its research is multi-dimensional and cross-cultural, and all the research results of educational anthropology so far have the nature of cross-cultural comparative research.

That is, trying to establish an inevitable connection between fact research and theoretical discussion, so that people can establish a meaningful relationship with society and education, and at the same time clarify the law and process of human development, explain the generation, transformation and reconstruction of human nature from the perspective of education, and explain the influence of education on the formation and development of all levels of life-intention, purpose, belief, emotion and value.

How to show humanity and human existence in education? It pays attention to the deduction of essence and tries to grasp the deepest relationship between education and people from general phenomena, so as to grasp as many educational phenomena as possible.

Educational anthropology believes that comparative research and field research on education are the most basic research. Without them, there would be no educational anthropology, but only they can't grasp the macro and profound essence of education, so educational anthropology is always in the primary stage and can only provide materials for other disciplines.
