Two thirds of the students in Harmony Primary School are children of migrant workers. The transformation of the village in the city has caused a large number of students to move, and the journey to school is longer than before. "Delaying school hours can at least let children have breakfast at home with peace of mind, without solving it on the roadside, and parents are more calm." The principal said.

After the news of delaying school was announced, most parents agreed, and only a few parents were worried that they had to send their children to school in advance because of work reasons. In this regard, the school has also introduced corresponding supporting programs. For example, in Harmony Primary School, a school leader on duty is added, and three teachers are arranged to patrol the school every day to ensure the safety of students after they arrive at school. A book corner is set up in each classroom to carry out "book drifting" activities in the morning. At the same time, professional teachers and community tutors can arrange some learning projects appropriately, so that students who arrive at school in advance can perform well in the morning; Changyang Primary School is going to vacate the library as a temporary study room for children who arrive early, and three teachers will be on duty every day.

Delayed by half an hour in the morning, the school time is as usual. So where did this half hour come from? The practice of Harmonious Primary School is to shorten the time for lunch, school-based curriculum and reading. The first class in Xinhua Experimental Primary School was adjusted from 8: 00 to 8: 30, which was achieved by adjusting the noon time and compressing the teacher's conversation.

"We reported that this reform has a very simple idea, that is, we hope that students can sleep more, eat a rich breakfast and devote themselves to study and life with full mental state." The director of Gongshu District Education Bureau said that if the pilot is successful, all primary schools in Gongshu District will be delayed this winter.
