Most American public high schools don't have uniforms, some private high schools require uniforms, and some don't have uniforms, and the dress code is strict. The school is not ambiguous about your clothes. You can describe a few pages of what clothes can and can't be worn in the student handbook. The following requirements are common in private schools, please follow them carefully!
1. Don't wear sweatpants at school except physical education class;
2. Denim tops, jeans and skirts are not allowed in more conservative schools;
3. In more open schools, cowboy clothes should not have rivets, holes and cat whiskers;
4. Every year when the weather is hot enough, the school office will inform everyone that "it's time to wear short clothes", and short skirts and shorts are not allowed outside this time period;
5. During the period when you can wear short clothes, the distance between short skirts and shorts should not exceed10 cm;
6. Do not wear clothes with racial discrimination, gender insults, alcohol, tobacco, swearing, pornographic words and pictures;
7. Don't wear slippers.
Skirts and shorts can be worn in August, September and May. Leather shoes, casual shoes, unmarked sports shoes and sandals can all be worn. No slippers. You don't need to wear socks in August, September and May, and you need to wear them at other times. You can wear shoes without socks. Dresses and skirts should be 3 inches (7.5 cm) above the knee. Denim skirts or shorts are not allowed. Underwear is cotton or other more formal pants, with two pockets in the front and two pockets in the back. Twill fabrics, jeans and overalls all fail to meet the requirements. All pants should be worn at the waist without holes. Pants require a belt, which should be tied in the buckle and not loose. You are not allowed to wear any sweatpants and sneakers at school, including the uniforms of Dominican sports teams.
The dress code also applies when students are outside the school but represent Donimik High School.
However, the eagle-eyed Bian Xiao can see at a glance that under the loose dress code, some students' clothes are still slightly irregular, and they play the edge ball.
Of course, the school not only has classes, but also requires students to wear small dresses when there are special activities.
Important reminder:
Don't wear the same suit for two consecutive days. This may not be a problem in China. If you are lazy in winter, wear cotton-padded clothes for four or five days in a row. In America, wearing the same suit for two days in a row has two meanings: (1) You spent the night outside last night; (2) Your life is very untidy. If there are few clothes, it is ok to wear five clothes in rotation.
