The difference between VCD and DVD
The difference between VCD and DVD is as follows:

First, the appearance material is different.

The disc color of VCD is generally aluminum white or light blue or light green, with a little disc base material; DVD is very obvious deep purple.

If you burn a CD, there will be two colors, the place with data (inner ring) will be deeper, and the VCD CD is not obvious. You should read it carefully and repeatedly, especially the full CD. It is easy to see whether there is data on DVD.

Second, the storage capacity is different.

The structure of DVD and VCD is very different, which leads to a great difference in capacity. Generally, VCD is stored at about 600 ~ 700 MB. Generally, the storage capacity of DVD is about 4.3GB, and the amount of data stored is different.

Third, the CD format is different.

DVD is a compact disc format, and VCD is a video CD, which means storing video content. DVD and CD are different in duration or quality.

Fourth, the resolution is different.

The image resolution of VCD is only 352×240(NTSC) or 352×288. The resolution of DVD using MPEG2-2 standard image compression technology can reach 720×480, far exceeding that of VCD (352×240).
