Many children not only have to spend three or five years to adapt to studying abroad.
It may also be because you are immature but have to face it alone.
The difficulty of studying abroad leads to various psychological problems.

All the children around have left, and my children are going out, too.
Children can't adapt to the domestic educational methods, and foreign educational resources are better.
My child is introverted, will he not adapt to life abroad?

Linda studies in a boarding school for girls in Heidington, England.
Sarah, a ninth-grade student at Hill School in America.
Share your feelings and experiences in high school.
Why did you go to high school in America?
Sarah
About two or three years ago, I came to the Foundation and applied for the summer school of deerfield University, which showed me what Gao Mei looked like. How to stay and learn, I appreciate their culture and educational ideas. Their extracurricular activities have no timetable, even in domestic and international schools. This is one reason.
The second reason is that the students around me are slowly going to Gaomei, and they are like a different person when they come back. I think it's so cool, and I want to learn from them.
What makes me want to study in Britain?
Linda
When I was almost eleven years old, my parents took me to England, and I liked the English environment at that time. The second reason is that I go to school in Hong Kong. The schools in Hong Kong are very small. Basically, children are in a very closed space, and there is not much activity environment, which makes me want to study in a broader environment. The third is that I like watching Harry Potter very much, so I have a plot for Britain.
Can you overcome cultural differences by staying in America?
Sarah
First of all, the time allocation is very different. American students spend most of their time on hobbies and sports. I think in China, maybe more time is spent on study, and only a small part of time is reserved for hobbies and sports. Secondly, because teachers and classmates come from all over the world, I feel that I have received a more international education and can appreciate the cultures of different countries, which is great!
At first, I thought there would be Chinese food. After all, there are quite a lot of people in China, but later it was found that we didn't have Chinese food there, and we couldn't find a Chinese restaurant. But I survived.
What surprised me most about studying in England?
Linda
I think in foreign countries, their culture is relatively free, and students mature earlier. When I went to England at the age of fifteen, we all had friends who stayed overnight. We four girls live in the same room. At that time, some 15-and 16-year-old British girls were quite mature. They even saw contraceptives on the desktop and shared them with their classmates. This is probably the biggest cultural shock to me.
Do you feel homesick when you study abroad?
Sarah
I have been boarding since I was six years old. I didn't miss home when I went to America. Of course, I haven't been away from home for so long. The teachers and students over there are very concerned and enthusiastic. I have a host family in America. They ask me every week: How are you? Is there anything I can do for you? This is actually a place that gives me a lot of warmth, so I won't be too homesick.
Why can't I stay at home so far away?
Linda
I'm not homesick at all. Perhaps the biggest reason is that I chose to study in England instead of my parents. So I was very happy when I went, and I thought I should solve the difficulties myself. Maybe compared with some students, they don't want to go at all, but they are forced to go to England, so they will miss home a lot.
It is very important for China students to attend high school in the United States.
What is the biggest difficulty?
Sarah
I think it may be about making friends. In fact, students in China are very good, but because they have nothing in common with their American classmates, such as music or sports, things they have been exposed to since childhood are different, so friends will naturally be more difficult to contact.
It is very important for China students to attend high school in Britain.
What is the biggest difficulty?
Linda
The biggest challenge that most international students in China may encounter is English, which is a language challenge.
Written at the end: As the saying goes, twisted melon is not sweet. When deciding whether to study abroad, parents are advised to listen to their children's ideas and give them more space to decide whether to study abroad. When weighing the pros and cons, it is enough for us to give some appropriate guidance. Because the person who wants to go this way is TA, not you. Once a choice is made, no matter what is waiting ahead, I believe the children will go on firmly. Because I chose the road, I have to walk on my knees! Let go and the child will grow up!
