I believe that the Song Dynasty will become the most prosperous dynasty in history as long as it survives Kublai Khan's Yuan Dynasty. Moreover, the Song Dynasty had sailed to the Arab Empire. If it hadn't been destroyed by the Yuan Dynasty, it would have been the Song Dynasty that discovered the new continent of America.

Secondly, because there has been commerce in the Song Dynasty, it is likely to become a capitalist country early!

Let's go back to the map. If we survive the war, maybe even if we are not as big as Yuan, we can unify the territory of Ming Dynasty and People's Republic of China (PRC)!

Kublai Khan's War of Destroying the Song Dynasty was a war in which Yuan Shizu destroyed the Southern Song Dynasty and unified China. 1268, Yuan Shizu launched a war to destroy the Song Dynasty. At first, Liu Zheng and Asu were sent to attack Xiangyang, known as the Battle of Xiangfan in history.

1274, the Yuan army captured Xiangyang, and the Song Dynasty surrendered to Lu. Later, the prime minister Shi Zhongshu and the Privy Council ordered the army to go down to the Yangtze River along the Hanshui River with the aim of building health. 1275, General Lu led Yuan Shui Army to defeat the Southern Song Navy in Jia Sidao, Wuhu, which is known as the Battle of Dingjiazhou. The following year, the Yuan army captured Lin 'an (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang) and thanked and surrendered to the Yuan army.

However, Lu Xiufu and other seven-year-old Song Duanzong ascended the throne in Fuzhou, while ministers such as Wen Tianxiang, Zhang Shijie and Chen continued to fight Yuan in Jiangxi, Fujian and Guangdong. The Yuan Army successively captured all parts of South China. 1278, the Southern Song Dynasty imperial court retreated to Yashan, Guangdong. In March of the following year, Zhang Hongfan defeated the Southern Song Navy in the sea battle of Yashan. Lu Xiufu died in the sea with the 8-year-old little emperor Zhao Min, and the Southern Song Dynasty perished. The Yuan Dynasty unified China and established the seventh feudal orthodox dynasty in the history of China.

But in fact, the Song Dynasty could not exist for three or five hundred years for the following reasons:

1, the pattern is too small, and we just want to generalize. Song dynasty is the orthodox dynasty with the smallest territory in the history of unifying the Han regime. Since the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), the territory has never surpassed Yanyun. Only the founding emperor Zhao Kuangyin tried to collect and pay Yanyun, but he failed. After Zhao Er came to power, he took an imperial envoy with him and lost all his money. Later, Xixia could bully Dasong even in a tiny place. The late emperor had no ambition at all. Only one Song Shenzong tried to reform, but he was too ambitious and didn't know people. The higher the result, the worse. In other words, the emperors of the Song Dynasty only wanted to be safe.

2, the scholar-bureaucrat has a big tail. Scholar-officials in the Song Dynasty were paid too well. Officials in the Song Dynasty could buy land at will and become landlords. Landlords could also become officials at all levels through the imperial examination. Officials and landlords are integrated and occupy most of the country's land. Are you online? Do not suppress mergers? Encouraged by the new policy, the royal family, nobles, bureaucrats and landlords annexed more and more land. And they don't have to pay taxes. Therefore, the literati class is a great burden to the whole country.

3. Martial people have low status. The low status of soldiers will lead to the country's defencelessness and the soldiers' fighting will be low. Even a general like Di Qing lived with trepidation. How can we gain an advantage in foreign wars?

Therefore, with the pattern and political system of the Song Dynasty, it is a matter of time before it dies. Three or five hundred years? This is a joke.
