What is obe's educational philosophy?
OBE(Outcome based education) is also called result-oriented education, ability-oriented education, goal-oriented education or demand-oriented education.

OBE education concept is an advanced education concept, which is goal-oriented, student-centered and adopts reverse thinking to construct the curriculum system.

There is no single teaching or evaluation method in OBE; Instead, courses, opportunities and assessments should help students achieve concrete results. According to the target result, the teacher's role is adjusted as lecturer, trainer, facilitator and/or tutor.

Education systems around the world have adopted a result-based approach at many levels. Australia and South Africa adopted OBE policy from1990s to mid-2000s, but it was abandoned under strong opposition from all walks of life. ? The OBE plan has been implemented in the United States since 1994 and has been adjusted for many years. ?

In 2005, universities in Hong Kong adopted a result-based approach. In Malaysia, OBE was implemented in all public school systems in 2008. The EU proposes to turn education into a focus on results throughout the EU. In the international efforts to accept OBE, washington accord was founded in1989; This is an agreement to accept an undergraduate engineering degree obtained through the OBE method.

As of 20 17, the complete signatories are Australia, Canada, Taiwan Province Province, Hongkong, India, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Britain, Pakistan, China and the United States.

Difference from traditional education methods

The main difference between OBE and traditional educational methods is that it contains three elements: educational theory, systematic structure of education and specific teaching practice methods. It organizes the whole education system into what learners need to successfully complete at the end of their studies.

In this model, the word "achievement" is the core concept, and sometimes it can be used interchangeably with terms such as "ability", "standard", "benchmark" and "achieving goals". ? OBE also uses the same methods used formally and informally in the real workplace to achieve results. In developing courses and results, it focuses on the following skills:

1, life skills;

2. Basic skills;

3. intellectual skills;

4. Professional and vocational skills;

In the regional/local/basic/electronic education system, students get comparative scores and rankings. The content and performance expectation are mainly based on the content taught by students of a given age from 12 to 18. The purpose of this kind of education is to show the knowledge and skills of the older generation to the new generation of students and provide them with a learning environment. This process pays little attention to whether the students have learned any materials (except the teacher).
