Boya College of Education was established in 2007. Since its establishment, focusing on the overall educational goal of "erudite, elegant and professional", it has "activated" the connotation of university core literacy with Chinese excellent traditional culture as the core with new thinking, new technology and new mode, and constructed eight modules of Lingnan liberal arts education system.

It is of far-reaching significance to strengthen the deep integration of liberal arts education with professional education and academy system, actively advocate the liberal arts cultural values of unity of knowledge and action, gratitude and filial piety, integration and innovation, and service to the society, and create a series of campus liberal arts cultural landscapes represented by Lingnan Cultural and Creative Street to enhance the cultural literacy of all students and cultivate their cultural literacy and comprehensive ability of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Boya College of Education has "two centers and three teaching and research sections", which is mainly responsible for the planning and organization of literacy activities such as Boya education practice, cultural heritage base construction, culture and art, and undertakes the teaching of public basic courses for all students.

Boya education philosophy: erudition and integrity, professional skills.

Boya goal: Guided by the socialist core values, we will carry out the development project of Chinese excellent traditional culture in depth and build a campus cultural ecology with cultural self-confidence and liberal arts education.

Boya has eight modules: Chinese education, civic education, growth education, scientific literacy, healthy sports, art education, innovation and entrepreneurship, and voluntary service.

Five Poems by Boya: reading (reading classic works)-classroom (excellent Chinese traditional culture class)-competition (golden idea competition, colorful poetry competition) and so on. Training (training for freshmen, etc.). )-Five practical curriculum systems (special training camp for college students' growth and excellent traditional culture training camp).

Elective credits for liberal arts classification: you can get elective credits for liberal arts classification from four aspects: cultural quality, innovation and entrepreneurship, service learning and reading activities, and you can get graduation qualification only if you get at least four liberal arts credits in three academic years.

Brief introduction of Boya Education Center:

Boya Education Center is a comprehensive management department that coordinates all kinds of Boya education research, students' cultural innovation practice, activity planning and organization, and Boya credit management in our school. It has won three provincial-level projects and the first prize of school-level teaching achievements, and created a number of key school-level brand projects such as Boya Cultural and Creative Street, Happy Lingnan People's Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Training Camp and Freshman Training.
