Yueyang Student Military Academy is a state-owned institution directly under Yueyang Education Bureau, which specializes in military training for freshmen from senior high schools and above. The school invested in the construction of an arsenal, a 8,000-square-meter large cement training ground, a multimedia teaching hall, a standard shooting range with 20 targets, a student barracks and a dining hall that can accommodate 500 people at the same time.
